Hydration pack for long distance running and more.
I use this pack running long distances and also for travel/hiking and I really recommend it! I live in FL and it can get really hot in the summer even before sunrise so I fill up part of the bladder and freeze it before the run and that way I have cool water on my back and to drink along the way.Positives:-Lightweight- when I run, I can hardly feel the pack.-Very comfortable- the padding it really good.-Bright colored - easy to see-Whistle - added safety for all types of activities-Pouches and zippers! I can use this for many activities besides running like a day hike. If adding more item to my pack, it's easy to adjust.-Stays in place while running. No swaying or bobbing. It might take you a couple runs to figure out your fits so I would not recommend using this for the first time at a race.-Easy to drink from and use. Clip helps mouthpiece stay in place-Easy to clean and add water. You can even measure how much you drink during your activity since there are measurements on the side.Cons/Recommendations if you buy this-Wash/soak everything first. You don't want any dye on you on your first run!-tube can be long but you can cut it to adjust-straps are long and can be annoying to keep in place. There are small bands that keep them in place but if you try to adjust (especially while running) the straps will fall out leaving the rest of the strap dangling. I recommend shortening it once you know how it fits and using an alternative method to keep the straps from dangling. I'm not going to cut mine since I like to add other items to my pack for other activities and need the length.-cell phone pocket is not big enough for my iPhone 5 with otter box. On shorter runs where I don't use the flask, I use that pocket for my phone and works perfectly. Otherwise, I can keep in in the back pack.

Definitely worth the price!!
Having used two different Nathan hydration belts for marathons in the past, I have long been a big fan of their products - great quality, light weight, durable, and very comfortable. However, I sweat a ton and become dehydrated very easily and while training in the summer, even the belt with the three bottles wasn't always enough to keep me hydrated on runs over 2 hours. Thus, I looked into Nathan's hydration vests and found this to be perfect for what I needed. Not only does the bladder hold 2L of fluid, but there is an additional large bottle in front and a TON of useful pockets, including ones specifically for salt pills, gels, and cell phone, etc.I finally got to take it for a test run (92 degree day, 75% humidity) and my experience was overwhelmingly positive - I love this thing! First of all, the vest is VERY lightweight, and even with the bladder completely full (more than enough fluid to sustain me through my run), the weight was very manageable. After adjusting the straps (rather tediously) to fit me, the vest did not bounce around or move at all and was very comfortable. The bladder/tube was very easy to drink from, and I didn't have to stop to access my pills or gels. Best of all, NO chafing.Bottom line - I am VERY excited to continue using this for my long runs in the grueling heat. Though a little pricy, it's definitely a worthwhile investment and made of very high-quality materials like the other belts I have purchased from Nathan. A must-have for anyone training for longer trail runs/races who doesn't want to worry about having enough to keep you hydrated.Edit - One small criticism I would add after using this for the past year is that the velcro on the small right-hand pill pocket tends to open and the contents will then fall out. (not good if you are someone who relies on salt pills for long runs in the summer like me) I think a zipper would have been better than the tiny piece of velcro (though I supposed you could just add another piece of velcro as well, which I will probably end up doing)

Nice running pack w bleeding straps
I have been using this vest for about a year now. I have run a few half marathons with it and am training for a full marathon. It is a great pack with just a few exceptions. First the good--a nice size bladder, nice size pockets in the front, the pouch in the back is a decent size to hold extra supplies, it doesn't bounce or chafe. Now the bad--the pink straps definitely bleed. I have hand washed mine several times and they are still bleeding even after a year of use. I can only use it with dark tanks because the straps bleed on everything. It is really annoying. Second, the only front pocket that is big enough to hold a phone is the water bottle pocket, so I can either carry a phone in the front pocket or an extra water bottle, not both. I like to carry an electrolyte replacement drink on my long runs and I can't do that and keep my phone up front. (I have an iPhone 6). Finally, the bladder really sweats. I run in hot climate and I have to keep my bladder wrapped in paper towels and in a plastic bag or it sweats right through to my back. Would I buy this pack again or recommend it to someone else? Probably not, just because of the bleeding straps. Everything else is just a minor in inconvenience that can be adjusted or overcome. The bleeding straps though, that has ruined some of my good running tanks.

Exceptional piece of kit.
Absolutely brilliant!!! Bought for my wife ( prolific distance runner) she has had numerous belts for marathon and packs for ultras but this is in a different league for the smaller female runners. The fit is superb, no bouncing, chaffing etc, she loves it!!

Good hydration vest but horrible mouth piece from the bladder
I purchased this back in end of February because the listing said the item may ship from 1 to 2 months. I wanted to prepare myself for the race weekend in May. Shipping was fast and I received it within two weeks from date of purchase. The bag itself is really comfortable to wear and has lots of storage.. However, the mouthpiece from the bladder leaked within a week (I have only used it 3 times). I find unacceptable and therefore only giving this a 1 star since I am now stuck having to buy a new bladder 3 days before my race.
