Q: Is it possible to get just the hardware for this?

You can to to Ikea and get free spare parts. but it comes with it.

Q: is there a way to lock the casters (wheels)? How do you stop it from rolling around?

No way to lock it. But it doesn't roll around

Q: Is this rack portable? I would like to travel with it. I need something that is easy to assemble and disassemble.

It depends on what you consider "portable." It comes in a box and requires 20-30 minutes to assemble. So I assume you could save the box and disassemble it and ship it to wherever you are going. But it would take some skill and patience on each end. It doesn't just fold up. It also is not real strong. I wouldn't try to roll it with clothing on it. This is a light duty clothes rack.

Q: What size screws are needed for the top bar?

No screws needed. It is easy to put together, it clicks into place.
