It works great on plants other than bonsai. It doesn't seem to harm a plant.

These wires are perfect for my bonsai and the wire cutters work great! One review said the cutters didn't work but I figured I'd take a chance and order the full package and I'm very pleased. The wires bend very easy but stay in place for beautiful shaping of my plants. The sizes are all good too. Initially I was hoping for all black wires and in the future would prefer a package of all black but the green wire and gold look kind of pretty so I'm using all of them. I recommend these and will order again!

I’m a beginner, but just what I needed.

This is an ok product that is still utilized in my nursery. However, I do not think this is best for what it's intended use is for. It not a strong enough gauge material to really manipulate a bonsai plant. I ended up using it to tie plants down and anchor branches in trunks instead.
