Strong Hold, Easy Application – Kaisiking 2mm LCD Repair Tape Delivers Reliable Screen Fixes
The Kaisiking 2mm LCD Repair Tape is a reliable adhesive solution designed for precision screen repairs on smartphones, tablets, iPads, laptops, and even cameras. It comes with a handy pair of tweezers, which makes handling the ultra-thin tape much easier during delicate installations. The 2mm width is ideal for securing LCD screens without bleeding over sensitive components, offering a firm and long-lasting hold without leaving residue. It’s especially useful for professionals and DIYers looking to reattach or reseal screens after replacing batteries or internal components. The adhesive strength is solid—strong enough to keep screens in place but not so aggressive that it damages parts when removed. While it doesn’t offer water resistance or heat shielding, it performs exceptionally well for its intended use and is a must-have in any repair toolkit. Overall, the Kaisiking tape is an affordable, effective, and user-friendly option for electronics repair, especially for mobile devices where precision matters most.

Electronics Repair Tape and tweezers
Purchased to use during a Nintendo Switch Lite screen replacement. The 2mm tape was sticky on both sides, held screen in place and the thickness was just right for my project. It was easily cut with scissors. The bonus of the purchase was the included tweezers. The tweezers have an angled end and comes to a fine point. They feel solid and when fully closed plenty of contact between the ends. Very handy and functional not just for using this tape. I am sure I will use them in other applications when fine/ delicate work is required.

gluing a lot of electronics with this, also tweezers are great!
Great item, it should secure many screens! I don't need this much, but the tweezers are awesome. I use a big book for 1 hour to help secure the screen to the cell phone. Unless you're fixing things as a business this amount is really a lot. Works well.

Only for permanent use cases
This is a black, double-sided tape that reminds me of two sided electrical tape in terms of being stretchy and sticky. I saw this specific tape recommended as a replacement for the adhesive strips inside some removable cases for foldable phones (e.g., Galaxy Z Fold 6), but I should have questioned that before purchasing. I'm going to advise anyone else against that. The good - the tape is very sticky. The little tweezers that come with it are useful. If you're using this to permanently repair something, it should do the trick. The bad - the tape is very soft/gummy/tacky. So once two things are stuck together with it, getting them back apart is a gooey mess. I can't recommend this as any kind of temporary adhesive, or for attaching things to the outside of a device that you want to keep clean.4 stars, because I bet it works well in specific use cases; just be aware it's messy.

2mm Is Perfect Size for iPad Mini 4 Screen
I used it on my son's iPad Mini 4. I replaced the battery a while back, and I just re-used the existing tape/goo to hold the screen on.A small gap formed over time, and a little light was leaking out. Using the existing tape and goo was a bad idea.I got this tape (the 2mm size) and re-stuck his screen a week ago. It's held up perfectly.Removing the old goo was a chore. I used a combination of isopropyl alcohol, acetone (nail polish remover), and Goo Gone (the citrus power original version), and a single-edge razor blade.I know most of the rest of this is more about how to remove goo from and ipad than about the product itself, but since this is a use-case for it, I'll elaborate on what worked for me.I also want to mention that I didn't have a single-edge razor blade starting out and was using an X-Acto knife. The single edge razor blade worked much better. Also I think the Goo Gone or something like it is really necessary. I think isopropyl alcohol and acetone aren't enough.1. Peeled off as much of the old black tape/goo stuff as I could from the screen and chassis sides using my fingernails. All my tape was on the back of the screen, and the chassis side had only goo. The tape on the back of the screen sort of looked like it could be something other than tape that was there only for holding the screen down. It was all old tape for holding the screen down, and I removed all of it.2. scraped off as much goo as I could from the chassis side using the razor blade.3. I cleaned the chassis the rest of the way with only alcohol. I guess you could use Goo Gone on it but I didn't. The razor blade worked well enough that I needed only alcohol.4. On the screen side, which had a lot more goo on it, I used the Goo Gone with both q-tips and paper towels. I scraped some of the goo off with the razor blade, but then I realized the back-side edges of the screen were painted, and I stopped using the razor after I took some paint off. This turned out to not be that big of a deal, but it could have been worse if I had scratched more paint off.5. Cleaned off the Goo Gone using acetone. Then cleaned everything again with alcohol. Not sure if only alcohol would have cleaned off the Goo Gone well enough. I had acetone, so I used it.6. Cut lengths of tape to fit the four sides of the iPad. I didn't bother with the rounded corners. I cut one, stuck it down, cut another, stuck it down, etc. (didn't cut them all at once and then stick in other words). The razor blade cut the tape easily. The tape has one side sticky and the other isn't sticky until you peel the backing off. Place the sticky side around the edges of the chassis side in the little groove.7. Peel off the backings.8. Re-attach the cables and screws. At this point I turned the iPad on to make sure it worked before turning it off and closing it up.9. Pressed the the screen down. I went around the edges pushing down hard with my fingers.10. Then I put the ipad on a table, screen facing up, and gently placed a six-pack of 12 oz soda cans on the screen. The six-pack fit perfectly, pushing only on the screen and pushing it into the chassis. I placed a few books on top of the six pack.11. Left it like that for 2.5 hours. I did not apply any heat. Then I gave my son his ipad back. So far it's been fine (did this over a week ago). I hope it holds up.I think this is good tape for this purpose, and as I said, the 2mm size is perfect for the iPad Mini 4.

Perfect for ps5 controller
Worked perfectly! Customer is very happy with the final product. I actually used this on the touch sensor when replacing the housing of a ps5 controller. It was sticky enough to withstand the heat. Was thin enough to not even notice I didn't use glue. Very durable and well worth the price! Will buy again!
