You must make a bigger one, in 100% cotton. In the summer, it offers good protection against the sun and it picks up your sweat real good, if made out of cotton. Poly just makes you hotter... 27 X 27 please, minimum. Also, when riding my bike, I like to keep one wrapped around the throat cowboy style to keep it warm at night and at high speeds.

Just bought these. i like my bandanas super soft. any suggestions on what i can do besides washing them over and over again?

I am with you I'm very picky about bandanas and pants being soft and loose. What I usually do is soak them in heavy mixture salt, baking soda, and fabric softener in a 5 gallon bucket for a couple days, rotating and mixing around a little bit here and there and then I just throw them in the wash with other clothes until I feel they're ready

Would the orange be considered “blaze” orange? Will be using them for hiking during hunting seasons.

Actually... I'm convinced it would be almost indispensable during hunting season. Hadn't gone there? Definitely not a color I would use for everyday purposes - a tad too flamboyant for my own taste, however, were I hunting, in my opinion, it would be essential.
