I use this to store coffee beans and it has kept all of the coffee smell contained in the container. I've used different containers that weren't air tight and caused all of the items in my cabinet to smell like coffee. This container also has kept my coffee fresh with no deterioration in flavor and scent.

I wont store my coffee in anything else.Keeps it fresh from the first to last bean.

My son introduced me to these canisters. They are pretty darn awesome! We recently purchased a coffee grinder and I was concerned with storage of freshly ground beans. I don't have time to get up and grind beans every morning and wanted to do batches but didn't want it to lose its freshness. These canisters allow me to grind quite a bit (even whole bags of beans) at once and store the grounds for weeks at a time without losing freshness/flavor. There is a insert that you push down into the canister to expel extra air and ensure airtightness. It is sometimes a little difficult to push all the way down but simply pulling it back up and reseating it a bit usually does the trick. Once you've placed this inner "lid" in and expelled all air from the canister, there is a clear lid to place on top of the canister's opening. This lid is also air tight. I liked the canister so much that I ordered another and have one for Medium roast and one for Dark (I made little labels in order to keep them straight). Would definitely recommend these and would order again!

Works well but inner lid is hard to remove. Would be nice to have a track for it to go along

Great for storing and keeping coffee fresh. Very easy to use.
