Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - Nintendo Wii

In my excitement for the Wii, I was less careful than I should have been. This is NOT a typical Tony Hawk game. It's a street race with an extremely limited selection of tricks and moves. I was expecting something much more akin to THPS/THUG. So I was very disappointed and it took me awhile to warm up to the game.That said, it's not a bad racer. The controls take a bit of getting used to... especially if you're a THPS veteran. The levels have some decent variety and there are some very good ones, but many of them are quite bland. In racing games of this type, you get used to neat little short-cuts or even longer routes that are off the normal path, and you'll find those here, but they're very sparse (either that or extremely well hidden).The graphics also lag behind other Wii titles like Excite Truck (a far better fantasy racing game). If you just HAVE to have a Tony Hawk game, then you probably already got this, but normal fans of either the Tony Hawk series or the Racing genre will find better options elsewhere.

I was a little worried when I took the disc out of the case because it looked like it got in a fight with a cat. It was completely covered in scratches but my Wii would still let me launch the game start the credit scenes. Once it hit the end though I get an error screen which I included in the review. Complete rip off! Buy this somewhere else.

Based on Amazon's recommendation, I bought the skate/snowboard attachment for the Wii Balance Board. I was called the "coolest mom ever" by my 6 year old when he saw it and the game. The game, however, doesn't allow for play with the balance board. Sure, he can stand on it and pretend, but he still has to use the remote to do anything on the game.It's so lame.So, the game is cool, but don't expect to be able to use the board with it.

When I checked out this game it kept showing that everyone bought the skateboard with it. I didn't find anywhere that the board wasn't used. We got our 5 year old this game and the skateboard for his birthday. He loved them both. Too bad they don't get used together. The game is fun but we are still very disappointed that Amazon keeps showing this game often sold with the board. It is very misleading.

Multi-player game (up to 4 in the Mario Kart tradition) can play this FANTASTIC, realistic and incredibly exciting, fun game. WOW is the word for this one because it DELIVERS and is extremely fun and challenging! Do all kinds of tricks and combat the other players to be first in the many cool races. This is HOT and fun, fun, FUN!!!

The game is one that I love from my childhood and it still does not disappoint! The game shipped right away and came much faster than I expected. When I opened the box the game was still in it's cellophane wrap.A++,Sam

Bought this for my 8 year old. He loves it and so does his dad. It's lots of fun and not too difficult to get the hang of. I love that it doesn't require extra accessories. Great game for the price. Fun for all.

Awesome game though the levels could have been a bit more difficult. But overall, very exciting, very enjoyable.

This exclusive game on Wii is very similar from the SSX games from EA BIG! Instead of sliding down a snow track. You riding down a pave path! The only thing similar from earlier versions of this franchise is that Tony Hawk is in the game has a playable character. The other characters are not real world skaters, but rather cheap clones of SSX characters. One thing I really hate about this game, is that custom play, is only available in multiplayer! The game is also not compatible with the nunchuck controller! If you have SSX Blur on Wii. Don’t bother yourself with this game!

Graphic sucks. Love it anyway.
