Easily Understood Information
Being fairly new to the market, and very new to the candlestick patterns, I found this book to be most helpful. The explanations combined with the charts and figures provided a strong foundation on which to build my trading knowledge.

Great Starter book on stock trading!
I recommend this book to anybody who is just starting to learn about trading. Tina Logan has organized the book in a non-threatening manner and builds up slowly on concepts. It has enough "meat" to answer most of your questions as a starting trader but it also gives a very good working overview of how to use candlestick with technical analysis.Great starter book that really gives you enough knowledge to start real world trading without going in blindly.

Good Book for Introduction or Reference
The book covers all the common candlestick formations and discusses their characteristics. Illustrations are provided of each formation. The book compares Japanese and Western analysis, but occassionally does not provide the Japanese name for the formation. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because, in my opinion, it could be written more clearly. That said, it's one of the best books on the topic that I've seen for the price and that makes it a good value.I recommend it to those seeking either an introduction to candlestick charting or who already have a basic knowlege and want a good reference guide to the candlestick formations.

Great introduction to TA
As others have stated, this book covers so much more than candlestick charting patterns. Support and resistance, pullbacks, gaps, volume, technical indicators... this is also a complete introduction to technical analysis in my view. The author explains things clearly and provides a lot of context and example charts. I definitely return to this book a lot. It doesn't provide a trading setup, but it should give a good background for choosing one.

Easy read, very complete for canclestick charting techniques
The nice part about this book is the way it ties candlesticks to other technical measures for stock performance analysis and evaluation. It doesn't try to push candlesticks as the end-all, but explains how the candlestick approach relates to the whole tech analysis picture. A very good read and good companion to the "Candlesticks for Dummies" book on this same subject. Really good pair! Different approaches to explanation that support eachother.

Good but inadequate
This is a good little book for the money. But do not expect it to compete with Nison or Morris books. It is well written and easy on the beginner. Diagrams are good and author's style is easy enough to understand (a big plus). Her attempt to tie in the Candlestick and standard western technical analysis is good but inadequate. At a beginner's level, this is as good a book as any on this subject.

Wonderful Introduction to Trading
As others here say, introduces details pretty clearly. Some of this I had gleaned for myself - but many times there was a tidbit of information either new OR confirming which kept me reading. It also has a built-in incentive to studying these basics to commit them to memory (I'm waiting to take the review quiz in the back until I'm in the mood for some serious HW).

Good content for novice trader
Its a good read. If you don't know Candlestick charting or just started stock trading learning, its a good book to read. Reasonably priced and you should be able to learn something. No trading books can magically make you a successful trader and it takes years of learning but it could be fun for the journey.
