Love it and cheap

Had to change out my plastic drain valve on my water heater to this beauty. Super easy to install and now I have no leaks! Used a couple passes of Teflon tape on the threads and done!!

Got a crazy hair to put a better drain on the water heater so the next swap out in 15 years will go easier than this draining, which was problematic due to sediment clogging plastic drain valve. This appears to fit the bill. Question is will it be more susceptible to freezing due to attic location and conductivity of brass vs plastic. Given no good deed goes unpunished I imagine It’ll reek havoc on me freezing… time will tell.

Was a little short for my thickly insulated water heater but I made it work and it is much better than the factory plastic valve.

The old plastic drain valve on my water heater started leaking and the knob broke off when I tried to tighten it. I bought this valve to replace it. When I tried to unscrew the plastic valve from the water tank, it broke off in the tank! Cheap plastic JUNK!!! So, after a bit of difficulty removing the plastic from the old valve, I got this one installed and it works very well. It shuts off completely with very little force needed. I have no doubt it will now probably outlast the rest of the water heater.

Replaced my cracked plastic drain valve on my hot water tank with this brass drain valve and it works perfect, good old quality brass drain valve instead of the cheap plastic valve that cracks over time from the heat and the price was good thanks.

Replaced the old plastic drain valve with this one. So far so good. Fit was perfect. Wrapped the screw in part with some Teflon tape and the drip is gone.. For now anyways. Will update if that changes any time soon.

This is a very nice water heater drain valve. it does not evacuate as good as a ball valve but there is a very good open path thru this valve. Installed well and works great. Thanks

Good value for brass. The circular valve Handel is ok but not the best design.
