ContinentalConti Valve Extender (Pack of 2)

I use these with latex tubes on Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO 45 wheel sets. Never had a leak or any other problem. Gets the job done, no fuss.

I am sure you, like me, are thinking... do I really need this?I am also sure you, like me, learned that there's a specification on a tire tube that tells you the length of the presta stem. So I regret to inform you... yes it's necessary if you, like me, bought tubes with too short of stems and realize it is not worth shipping the tubes back.Super easy to install. I had the Park Tool VC-1 tool but the included little wrench works fine. I used the included wrench to install the main cylinder. All hand tight and haven't noticed any leakage.I am almost certain I can use them on the spare tube when the time comes (since I have 3 tubes but only two extenders).

If they leak put some Teflon tape on the threads.

READ THIS! If you are putting these extenders on Conti tubes and reusing the same cores, you might find it nearly impossible to pump air. Get rid of the Conti core and you should be fine again. This "bug" made me regret buying this product until I discovered this workaround. I had just gotten a new specialized aethos and was installing new tubes and tires but realized too late that the county tubes I ordered didn't have stems long enough for the new carbon wheels. The tubes that came with the bike were too narrow for the tire I was installing, so I took the cores out and used them in the new tubes with the extensions. Everything worked fine once I did that.

This is a terrific product. My wheels have deep rims, and the tube for my front wheel only comes with a 40mm valve stem, which makes it difficult to get a good seal with the pump. I bought the 20mm valve extender and installed it with no problem in about 10 minutes. As suggested in several Youtube videos, I used a little bit of Teflon plumber's tape on the threads to ensure a good seal. Now, the pump engages with no problem, and the valve does NOT leak at all. I should have done this a long time ago.

It would have been better to buy the right size for my tubeless stem, but my LBS only had 44mm's. I had enough bite for a shallow air chuck, but it would be too short using others an unfortunate oversight when I went on a trip. These stem extenders are just the right length without looking stupid and work better than the extenders where the valve does not need to be removed. I did use plumbers tape to make sure I had a good seal and had to re seat the tires in order for me to inflate them after installation so if you are planning on using them make sure you have a compressor or good pump or you will need to take a trip to your LBS.

Continental is for me egal to perfection.No problem with these valve extender.

Put these in my tubes for a 55mm carbon wheels. Nice and light but I had some low pressure in a tire and went to inflate it with a hand pump. On the third pump the extender sheared at the connection to the tube stem and came off. In hindsight, it makes sense because the aluminum is super thin and there's not a lot of finish to it. Feels like an unfinished aluminum can and honestly just as soft. Have been able to hand-pump with other extenders before so I might need to use these as a spare from now on and look for something higher quality.
