Its a pen with ink. Don't be caught off guard if you are looking for a pencil. Blue ink and yes it is actually blue, not red or black. Smooth writing. Note you do have to click the top to use this device. It doesn't work as well if you don't click the top first. But don't forget to click it again before putting in your shirt pocket. You have been warned. Good purchase.

Everyone has their favorite pen, and this one is mine. It's very easy to hold, puts out a steady stream of ink even when you're at a weird angle (like writing a note on the wall calendar), and lasts a really long time. It's very affordable, and it just works every time. I keep a stash of these in my drawer at all times; seriously awesome pen.

These are the only pens I will use for work. They write very smoothly and darkly. The other green pens I have tried are too light, or I have to press hard to get it to show up better, or they are too wet and smear. These are perfect. In fact, I told my boss to get me these pens specifically, and she brought me Papermate. I threw them away and bought these with my own money.

Love these pens and the way they write. All my coworkers know who wrote the note if it’s in purple. I will definitely be buying my next box soon. They last a long time too. I haven’t had to buy a box for months, and I use them every day.
