Absolutely brilliant
I bought these as a treat to myself, I couldn't afford the more expensive ones but I went with the ones that had the best reviews in my budget and these are them!I'm brand new to watercolour, I make cards and want to bring something different to the table. These pens are so easy to use! You can blend them easily and the colours are bright! I got the 54 pack and there's every colour you could ever want and more. They dry surprisingly quick which is great. I've only great things to say about these and from watching the videos on YouTube, they are going to last me quite some time!

Unscrew Blender Brush opposite way clockwise (as it is a Japanese product)! Great product!
I've always been too scared to paint in water colour, let alone paint. Up till now, I've just been doodling with pencil or pen and rarely with coloured pencils. But I did often wish I could colour my sketches in with a more subtle medium that I could blend, so this was perfect. At first, I did have to remind myself that with it being a Japanese product, the blender brush must be unscrewed the opposite way to what you're used to, as it would not budge.Other than that, they feel so good, like a calligraphy brush that takes far less time to dry and is correctable, with speed and a lot a water, which I never knew was possible. This was my 1st painting I decided to attempt from Lesson 02 of the tutorial videos, which I love that they include as well as a free 14-sheet water colour paper pad to start you off. I have learnt so much already. I only skipped trying out the 1st one as with the limited paper I've got I preferred drawing a pear. I love pears, and am pretty happy with how it turned out. Harder to stay within the lines than I thought. The 1st 2 sheets of the free 14-sheet pad are blank to do your own thing but you can find the outlines for the tutorials later on. You can use both sides no problem as they use a high quality water colour paper. I highly recommend you follow the tutorials which are less than 15 minutes long each at most. It's practically a free water colour pen course with nice music, good pace and no voice commentary.Really enjoyed my first time using these. Totally zenned out. Thank you <3

Good pens, but easily damaged
These pens are easy to work with and generally I am really happy with them. The packaging is flimsy, and mine came a little damaged. I plan to store the pens elsewhere so not a huge issue.Only issue I have is one of the blush pen split near the bristles and is now unusable. I've had the pens for less than a week, so a little disappointing.

Christmas present
Bought for granddaughter who’s a budding artist. She loves them & says they are easy to use & blend. I felt that they were very good value with plenty of choices of shades & in a sturdy storage box

These pens are literally what they say they are: easy to use, very flexible tips,a massive variety of colours and it does include a booklet of drawings to practice on and 4 waterbrush pens with long barrels with a variety of tips in different sizes and shapes. These pens are numbered and labelled on the side and the end of the barrel has the colour of the ink to make things more convenient. The ink is very vibrant and easy to break down with water, they blend well and if used with the right paper (Canson XL is a good option) the outcomes are astonishing, when you use the ink without water the edges can be a little rough in texture but when water is added it becomes really smooth . Some colours come out a little too light but depending on your preference you might find it just fine. For 54 pens and a booklet for this amount of money is awesome and is extremely worth it. Please keep in mind that when trying to refill the waterbrushes you must twist the tops the opposite way of what you would normally do (left= tighten right = loosen). Definitely would recommend.

Some colours are below par
I swatched these on some Chromatek paper I had from their watercolour pan set (the colours of which are highly pigmented and I'd recommend that product). I brushed the same amount in each square and found the some colours dried to almost nothing: the fluorescent yellow, bright pink, light pink and pink, with heron blue not far behind. I don't see the point of including fluorescent colours; who's going to want to paint with the equivalent of highlighters? Some of the blues are very similar to each other. The pens come in a cheap bendy plastic box.Providing you use the right watercolour paper the pens blend very nicely and as long as you give them a shake/store them with the tips facing downwards, they aren't dry. The company has good tutorials on its website and the provided pad includes outlines of the pictures so you can follow along.I will return this item and opt for Arteza watercolour pens instead, but the larger Chromatek set comes in a nice case and is probably better for money.
