Cobra Kai never dies.
All 4 Karate Kid movies are here. I was a little worried that they wouldnât be in English, but each film is presented in its original English language. All four films look and sound great. This is a great collection and as far as I could see, the only Blu-ray collection that includes the fourth film.

The Karate Kid 1-4 Box Set
Typical under-dog comes good series of movies made popular in the 80's and early 90's. Fun to watch with some lines that have become synonymous in this day and age, i.e "Wax on, wax off." Pat Morita is the star of the movies and this alone is worth the purchase price. The endings are all too predictable and unfortunately the story lines and actual movies diminish in quality as you go along. None of them live up to the first movie (which by itself earns a 4+ rating). That being said, the box set is value for money and is especially fun for the kids.

''Your the best around!''
This 4-Disc DVD Boxed Set has all 4 Karate Kid movies. The Karate Kid is by far one of the greatest and well known movies ever. It's powerful, funny and has a great storyline about a kid who is treated like an underdog, and it the end, he rises up to beat the odds. Simply put, The Karate Kid is a great movie, so great that is has actually formed 3 sequels. Although each of the 4 movies is actually weaker than it's preceding, the films are still all good in there own way.The Karate Kid (1984)10/10 *****So, the is where the series starts, where we get introduced to all the characters that form this series. It is an amazing movie. The film begins with a lad called Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who is moving to a new home in a new place of which at first he does not approve of. He is a karate player, at this point, no expert, as he has a fight with a bully named Johnny, and Johnny edges it. Daniel is later bullied by Johnny and and his friends. But the bullies are not the main villain, but there very aggressive and misunderstood Karate teacher, John Kreese (Martin Kove). Then introduced is my favourite character, Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki ''Pat'' Morita). Why is he my favourite character? - Because, he is funny, wise and a great Karate expert, who is more than capable of defeating several opponents at once. Mr. Miyagi and Daniel develop a friendship. Mr. Miyagi enters Daniel into a tournament where he will have a showdown with the bullies, and in the 2-months they have, Mr. Miyagi teachers Daniel Karate and it's ture meanings to prepare him for the tournament. The film is overall amazing and ended well, falling nicely into the sequel. The Karate Kid, Part II (1986)7.5/10 ****The first sequel is not as good as the first film, but it was still enjoyable, and has a much different storyline to the first film. This continues exactly after the first movie, so it's beginning scene is the aftermath of the tournament. 6 months later, Daniel's mother goes on holiday for the summer, and Daniel stays with Miyagi while she is away. While she is away and Miyagi and Daniel go to Okinawa, where Miyagi once lived, they have returned because Miyagi's father is very ill. However, while they are there, they have more than just Miyagi's father to worry about. Daniel faces his next enemy's and meats his next friends, as does Miyagi, and the movie unfolds this storyline without being at all predicable or to fast paced. Good storyline, good humour, well written characters, an overall good film which was really enjoyable. The Karate Kid, Part III (1989)6/10 ***The 3rd movie of this series, set almost a year after the first movie, and continues from where the 2nd movie ended. It is not as good as either the first or the second movie and dropped it quality quite a lot. But none-the-less it is still a good sequel to The Karate Kid overall. John Kreese, having lost all of his students as they finally saw how wrong and horrible he has been, is heartbroken. He turns to an old friend, Terry Silver, who is also a extremely skilled in Karate. Together, they plan there sinister revenge on Miyagi and Daniel. They literally put all the business to one side for revenge! The movie is good, however, what let it down the most is that it is far to similar to the first movie. Although it has its differences to the first movie, the overall storyline is pretty much the same - Daniel gets beaten, Miyagi saves the day, Miyagi trains Daniel and then Daniel beats the bully at the end. So there is barely anything new here, it only has it's vague differences - Terry Silver, Mike Barnes is a much bigger challenge for Daniel than both of the previous bullies, but the overall plot is virtually the same. However, I did enjoy the movie at times, and there were moments of greatness within. The Next Karate Kid (1994)5/10 ***This was a big let-down and is the weakest of the series. This is not called ''The Karate Kid, Part IV'' because there is no Ralph Macchio; this does not tie with the preceding 3 films. Daniel is not seen in this movie, however, he is mentioned once by Miyagi, so there is at least reference to the first 3 movies. In this movie, Mr. Miyagi visits Boston, Massachusetts to see people who he had fought with in the 442nd, he visits Lousia Pierce (Constance Towers), who is the wife of one his friends he fought with. He also meats her granddaughter Julie (Hilary Swank), who is later introduced as the next Karate kid. Lousia travels to California for a couple of weeks while Miyagi stays with Julie. The movie just gets pathetic at times and there are so many cheesy moments within it. However, I did enjoy this momentarily, and I do have to give this some credit, but it is the weakest of all 4 films, and if it wasn't for Miyagi himself, I would not have enjoyed the film much at all.So overall, two amazing movies and 2 mediocre movies have earnt ''The Karate Kid'' series a good title. They are all great movies one way or another.

WONDERFUL, INSPIRATIONAL MOVIES THAT STAND THE TEST OF TIME
WONDERFUL, INSPIRATIONAL MOVIES THAT STAND THE TEST OF TIME!-I watched the first 3 movies about 30 years ago when they were playing at the movie theaters. The first movie is about a like-able teenager Daniel Larusso who moves with his mom, from New Jersey to Los Angeles. At his new school, he is bullied by students of the local karate club. After Daniel takes a couple of beatings, he is rescued by the kind and wise old man Mr. Miyagi who is the maintenance man in his apartment building. Mr. Miyagi, who is originally from Okinawa and also happens to be a martial arts expert, teaches Daniel karate, so he could defend himself against the bullies. It is a very interesting and entertaining movie which explores themes such as moving to a new neighborhood, bullying and being bullied, growing up without a father, being the poor kid in a rich neighborhood, falling in love, the friendship between a teenage boy and an old man and the philosophy behind karate.-The three sequels are all equally heart-warming and entertaining movies in their own right.-I've watched all four movies with my son who is now about the same age as I was when I first saw these movies and he too enjoyed them a lot. They are every bit as entertaining as they were when they were first released 30 years ago!

Original Karate Kid movies are the best
Hollywood is really running out of ideas. They tried to remake the Karate Kid movie and even used Jackie Chan but nothing is like the original.I'm not going to rehash on the plots or anything like others do. Basically the first 3 movies are a mentor/student relationship that turns into a friendship. It's great for all ages with humor, drama, and a nice amount of Karate action. The 4th movie, The Next Karate Kid was an embarrasement. It tries to bring the same quit witty humor and the audience of the first Karate Kid but also include females. Having a female "Karate Kid" was great but they producers really didn't do a great job with the plot, character developement or anything. If anyone has not seen the first 3 movies, they would really be lost as to Mr. Miagi (sorry about spelling) references to Daniel Son. The producers and writers also jump right into the movie with how he knows this particular woman and everything else. They do not even attempt to have some form of closure to what happen to Daniel Son or where he was.The collection is great. If you are just looking for a good collection of the movies without a lot of extras, such as behind-the-scenes and such then this movie collection is for you. If you are wanting all the other extras, you may find them in a 2 disk set for each movie or another combo set. I like watching the movies more than I do about the behind the scenes. I don't mind some of the behind the scenes or deleted clips once in a while, I just don't like spending a huge amount of money for collections or multi-disk DVDs with them included. This was the perfect collection of the the original 3 and including the 4th movie which I did not like.I give the collection a 5 star because it's all together in a great fashion. No mess, no waste, and no trouble getting the DVDs out or even knowing which movie is on which disk. Each disk is in it's own box. The only thing that I did not like about the 3rd DVD is that it's a double sided DVD with the 3rd and 4th movies; one on each side of the disk. I still give it a 5 star only because I also think the 3rd movie wasn't as great as the first 2 but most definately better than the 4th.
