It is a great little humidifier
Everyone that came by my desk asked me about this item and I wish I had a dollar for every person that asked where I got it. It is a great little humidifier. It goes through a bottle of water about every 4 hours, which if you think about it, is a really good thing because that moisture is going into the air. My eyes feel so much better, my chapped lips have improved and sinuses feel much better. It has a power cord that plugs into my computer and I do wish it included a regular plug in to an electric outlet, but I do have one for my phone that will work. This is for a small area, and I would definitely recommend it. There should be several orders from my coworkers - it is a hit. By the way, it holds about 6 ounces of water and you cannot hear it at all. Totally silent.

Perfect for Travel - Common Sense Required
Fantastic for work travel! I have had this for over a year, have used it in hotels in FL, Las Vegas, Tennessee & countless other parts of the country. Always in hotels. Has been working GREAT!! But you do have to maintain it!I think people w/ negative reviews have unrealistic expectations & not much common sense (no offense)TIPSUse common sense, this isn't something you're going to get daily, long term use from. Buy a legit humidifier for that. Ideal for travel.Put a towel down underneath, can cause some pooling of water. Don't put your cell phone next to it.There is no shut off. I turn it on at bed time & just let it run. By the time I wake up, the water bottle is empty, I unplug it, remove the filter & let it dry out while I'm out & about.Distilled water will make it last the longest, so hard water (minerals) won't clog it up. Since I never have that when I'm traveling, use bottled water. When not in use, remove the white absorbent filter stick & LET IT DRY. Otherwise the top, that is closest to the output hole, will get moldy/mildew & clog it up. My guess is the people who have issues just let the filter sit in the wet/damp water bottle 24/7 (yet you're surprised when it stops working?)You are going to have to buy replacement filters. Point, blank period. If you don't want to deal w/ that, buy a real humidifier.Genius idea who ever came up w/ it!

Stopped working after 1 week of use..then smelled like melting plastic
** Update 3/19/2015**No response from the seller and this item not only stopped steaming but it actually had a (full of water) smell like the thing was melting. It was plugged into my computers usb port and I immediately unplugged it from both ends. I waited a while and plugged it back in and it wouldn't light up at all. I took it home and left it for a week thinking maybe it was a glitch, I tried several USB cables and it still did not work. I give this a -1 star. I was so upset I didn't even bother trying to return it.I bought this thing and when I plugged it in, it looked exactly like the image that is shown when you buy this humidifier. This thing worked well for all of a week and then just stopped. I am into my second week and it puts out nearly no steam or none at all. I tried changing the filter and it made no difference. I figured for the same price as a considerably larger version that I also bought from a competitor (because it took so long to ship this to me with *prime shipping - 4 business days* ) while waiting for this one, this would perform pretty well. I'm tempted to request a return/refund because what's the point of having a humidifier at your desk that doesn't humidify?Maybe the manufacturer or seller will see this and provide a recommendation?

No Instructions/KILLS CORDS
Haven't yet used it, will update my review later. However, I was VERY disappointed at the amount of instructions included with this product. Typically very simple: fill with water, plug in, and go. But no cleaning instructions, no fill instructions (no max fill line), no water recommendations (distilled or add salt), no trouble shooting...nothing. The only instructions are 4 points on the side of the box, nothing included. No information regarding how long a typical bottle lasts....if it's harmful to keep it plugged in when it's out of water or if it auto switches off. VERY disappointed by the amount of information provided.**Update 1 use** I was very impressed after 1 night use. Turned it on for my son while he slept, woke up about 7 hours later in a bit of a panic that it ran out of water...not only had it not ran out of water it was still more than half full! Not a LOT of vapor coming out but enough for my son in his room. I think it worked great. I will update more after more uses if I feel it necessary.**Update** Works great. I have been impressed with the capacity...HOWEVER, it has burned out and killed two cords in a month! I guess that's what I get for looking for a cheap solution to my problem. I've gotten a full refund and two burnt out and useless cords. DO NOT BUY, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

This is a great little mini humidifier that I use at work
This is a great little mini humidifier that I use at work. It's a convenient size for an office desk, and it doesn't make a lot of noise if any at all. There are a couple of things to note that may be drawbacks for a potential buyer; however, they weren't deal breakers for me:- The humidifier never finishes all the water in the bottle. Because the filter does not touch the bottom of the bottle, it can't reach the last bit of water. The container never empties all the way, and the humidifier stops working while it still has water in it. This isn't a huge deal, but it seems like wasted space.- After changing/adding new water, sometimes the humidifier seems a little clogged. Not as much mist comes out, and I'm guessing this may be from a build up some kind because I'm not using distilled water. However, I've always been able to resolve this by either wiping off the top or turning the cap upside down. I think gravity helps clear the way.- Comes with a 3ft USB plug. I wish this came with an AC plug, a longer USB plug and AC adapter, or batteries, so it wouldn't be reliant on my computer. If I go back and forth between meetings with my computer, I constantly need to unplug and re-plug it in.A few things could be improved, but all in all, it's a nice little humidifier for a small space and a reasonable price.
