My wife uses the Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights Purple Shampoo and Conditioner to maintain her gorgeous natural gray hair, and it’s been a game-changer. Over time, gray hair can develop yellowish tones, but this duo completely neutralizes them, leaving her hair bright and radiant.The shampoo is richly pigmented and works wonders even after just one use. It brightens her gray strands without drying them out, which has been a common issue with other purple shampoos she’s tried. The conditioner adds the perfect finishing touch, making her hair soft, shiny, and easy to style.She uses it once or twice a week, and it’s more than enough to keep her hair looking vibrant. A little goes a long way, but it’s important not to leave the shampoo on too long, as the purple pigment can leave a slight tint if overused.The scent is nice but a bit strong, which might not appeal to everyone. Also, she wishes the bottles had pumps for easier use.Overall, this is a fantastic product for maintaining natural gray hair. Holy cow. I bleached my hair near white. I ran into three major problems - Keeping blonde near white was hard, I either over or under toned. So I switched to pastel colors but those would fade within 7 days, and it was getting expensive. I mostly played with pinks and purples. The final issue being protein overload.This conditioner is perfect. With just regular conditioning it gets out the yellow tones. If I let it sit for a half hour I get a beautiful purple tone. AND no protein, so I can balance out my hair so it doesn't break as much.

This works well to tone the orange. Not a strong or unpleasant smell. Would recommend to reduce brassiness.

Appreciate that this is a color refresh condition, but similar to the shampoo the smell is very strong. It's similar to essential oils used in an air purifier. I also don't feel like it's moisturizing as advertised, but it might just be that my curly hair doesn't respond to this product well.

Great shampoo and a great price too!

I recently purchase this Shampoo and Conditioner and the smell of chemicals in this product is so strong and it stinks. With that said, I do like how it keeps the brassy tones in my hair at bay. The conditioner is so thin and watery that it does not provide any moisture to my hair. I won't purchase this again but I will continue to use what I have as I don't believe in wasting money.

This is by far the best one of these types of products I’ve used, and I have tried more expensive brands too. I could tell a difference after 1 time which is what I wanted! The only downside is I am not crazy about the scent. I’ll deal with it though for the results.

I've had natural silvery Grey for 8 years now and always use both a purple shampoo & conditioner. 1st time using this conditioner and I HATE it. Am thinking I must have been sent a defective product. This conditioner comes out so watery, not creamy at all. I have to use a ton of it and without any detangling ability & the lack of creaminess I can't even get the product through my hair. I bought it when I was running low on my regular one so I'm past the return window.
