Very happy with this, it enabled us to use an air conditioner despite the weird style of British windows.They’re easy to set up, the glue is very strong and they block all the air. You can easily adjust where you want the opening to be depending on need.

This product works as intended provided you follow the instructions exactly. I found it quite annoying to install because it doesn't exactly match the size of my window. It took several attemps to get it to work and still have enough leway to open the window enough to get the vent in position. The material is a kind of plastic so it rustles in the wind, making it quite distracting if used on a bedroom window. It sometimes wakes me up. I could remove it and close the window but it took so long to get it installed in the first place it doesn't seem worth the hassle. Despite the issues installing it, it's still worth having it and being able to use my A/C unit on hot days.

OK so if your window is new plastic it does not stick very well. Also making it fit a smaller window is an enigma, what do you do, chop the extra off (as i did on window upstairs - looks terrible), or fold it and tuck into (as i did downstairs - looks terrible). Also gets trapped in the window lock mechanism and chewed up. Will be looking for an alternative next summer.

Well, installing the seal was a breeze with a video attached to the description on Amazon. Velcro could stick better in some places but mostly did an OK job so it could be not wholly dry after cleaning and not the fault of the provided self-adhesive velcro straps (I had a problem with it only on a couple of inches of the velcro strap).As you can see in the photos the whole thing is nicely stuck around the window and it is possible to properly close or open the window so if the air-con unit is not used it can be closed. We use it to heat the office and works perfectly with this seal.

It’s not all that effective, but then removing the glues seal is almost impossible.

Easy to fit and works well. Only slight downside is the size. Only available in 3m or 5m a 4m size would have been better for my window sizes

If sold under £10, I would concede that it just about does the job, but only if your window has a smooth opening action. I inherited older windows in my house and was content hanging an air con tube out of it on a hot summer’s day. This cheap, thin veil makes little difference to warm air coming back in — a longer tube will easily negate that if a concern — and is both unsightly and difficult to operate. Pulling the window open too sharply will cause the Velcro to unstick which, as you can only imagine, is the most frustrating waste of effort to realign and stick every time you wish to prepare the air con. The sticky back Velcro is just as likely to come loose as well, despite thoroughly cleaning the frame of the window, quickly degrading the product after only a few uses until the entire side has to be removed and replaced with new Velcro strips. The zips are also fairly tough, which would usually be a selling point, but in this case it requires a lot of pinching material when zipping to stop the entire thing coming loose if zipped too hard. Also no clear way to deal with the excess length which inevitably occurs as it is a one-size fits all concept (see picture). Closing the window can also be a faff because the lining naturally falls inward, often getting trapped in the window mechanism. Ultimately, I like the concept and adding a bit of privacy to hanging open the window is sensible. But the idea that 4 of these loosely conceived, homemade and ill-fitting bits of plastic stack up to nearly £100 is just ridiculous. Typical example of being triple the price because it is on Amazon.

Thank gosh it works, so limited on where you can put a portable out of the box but with this kit, I was able to finally install it where I wanted to put it, where it would do the best job and cool the main room. I don't know if I applied the velcro to the frame and casement part correctly but it is working for me. I used shipping material made of foam or bubble wrap folded up to stuff in the opening around the zipper just to keep the bugs out and they do come in all around it in any little opening once night rolled around.It was easy enough to install the velcro after cleaning the frame and wiping all down with alcohol to ensure a good stick. It is the best quality velcro with the best stick power you will ever use! I took my time applying and kept referring to the instructions so I didn't waste it. I applied to all 4 sides on both parts. I am able to close the window no problem and I gathered up the little bit of extra tail and attached and folded it with a couple clothespins.It isn't the prettiest but it looks far better than how it was set up in another spot and it is running efficiently and I am so happy I chose this particular kit to work with my double hose portable AC cuz it just works without any fuss! We only need AC at most a week out of every summer so this setup works for us.

Facile à placer si on suit bien la vidéo sur internet. Très efficace ne laisse pas passer l'air chaud de l'extérieur. Le velcro est toujours aussi efficace après 3 ans alors qu'à chaque fin d'été je retire tout. Je recommande ce produit les yeux fermés. Le tissu est d'excellente qualité et très solide, il ressemble à une toile parachute au niveau texture.

Temevo fosse un montaggio complicato (leggendo alcuni dei commenti, ma anche guardando il video nell'annuncio), invece avendo il prodotto in mano e la finestra davanti agli occhi è risultato molto intuitivo e veloce! Come consigliato nelle istruzioni dopo l'applicazione delle strisce su telaio e finestra abbiamo lasciato l'adesivo riposare un paio d'ore prima di applicare la guarnizione sul velcro. Isola bene, e il clima portatile può fare il suo splendido lavoro!Comode le due cerniere, così anche senza smontare il tubo del clima in realtà si può aprire l'altra cerniera quando il clima non è in uso.Lo consiglio.

I've been trying to install my portable AC into a casement window for a week now. I have an outward-opening casement which opens vertically from the bottom.Before this, I tried a bunch of stuff to seal the window kit provided with my AC. Even after getting a sheet of plexiglass cut for the window, my AC still was leaking too much heat back into the room, and the plastic from the window installation kit even warped itself. This was my last hope... and luckily it worked like a charm! I'm pretty sure I even accidentally ordered one slightly too large for my window, but it still fits and works fine after rolling up some excess material.Installation was super easy albeit a little tedious -- the instructions were kind of bad and the video instructions online were very poorly shot (there's an animated video and a real-life demo, both of which not super helpful), but it was pretty much just a matter of cutting two sets of 4 velcro strips - one set for the casement, and one set for the window frame.Then you velcro the "seal", but annoyingly you have to pick a specific side to velcro to the casement vs the window frame, and the only way to tell which side is to follow the edge all the way until it tapers off at the end. It would be really nice if they would color the velcro on one side in order to tell that it's the "wide" side vs the narrow side.I mentioned that I got one which is slightly too big for my window - I rolled up the extra material in the area where I wasn't able to finish getting a velcro seal, and taped it up with some painter's tape. They say to use elastic for this purpose, but didn't provide any. It's not perfectly sealed in that area, and I expect I might need to do a better job of rolling it up if there's another big heat wave in the area.Installing with two hoses is just as easy as installing with one -- it's just an extra zipper in the seal. I pointed them both downwards.After turning on the AC, there is very little heat being leaked back into the room, which is perfect! Like I mentioned, this is so far the only solution that has worked for my casement window. The material is high enough quality that I don't expect it to degrade significantly in the near future, the zippers move pretty easily around the seal, and overall I'm pretty happy with it.

The velcro is easy to install and sits firmly on the windowframe. For the prove it is an excellent product. The only downside is that the glue is very hard to remove when the velcro is worn.
