Henschel Hiker Hats

I have a lot of hats for hiking but when I saw someone I knew with this one I asked him about it and wanted one of my own. It's a high quality, all leather hat that is made in the USA. It fits my oval head shape well and is true to size. It has good ventilation holes and isn't too heavy considering it's leather, in fact my waxed canvas hat is heavier. The wire in the brim allows it to be shaped to your personal taste. I wore it out in the rain the first day I got it and it was water resistant out of the box and did not discolor or water spot. It should last a very long time with proper care, be sure to clean, condition and waterproof as necessary or a minimum of a couple of times a year. I'm very pleased with this hat and would certainly recommend it.

I wish they had more pictures because the picture they have does not do this hat justice. It arrived in a big box with shapers made from recycled cardboard. Made in USA proudly displayed on the tags and inside the hat. It was a heavier leather than I expected. It fit me perfect, a little tight so it should break in nicely. The inside is natural which I like. The outside is a dark water repelling finish. I LOVE this hat. The chin strap can go on top as they send it and you can use it when it gets windy. I am completely happy with this purchase. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but totally worth it. They sent me a coupon for 10% off and free shipping on a future purchase so I will probably buy something from Killer Hats for my gf, but she is not as into hats as I am... I always gotta have my hat.... definitely will be my only place to buy hats. Superb Quality...

Hat is comfortable, size as expected. Picture looks like smooth leather, it's actually rough leather/suede feel. It's okay, but not what I expected from the pic. Hat is comfortable, makes a good "work hat" for outdoors. Hat is shapeable, but doesn't hold its shape, so always has a beat-up look (okay for sometimes, but limits when/where I choose to wear the hat).

Good looking hat, very well made. It came in just a plastic mailing bag but it was in perfect condition when I opened the package. It was to be a gift and the recipient loved it.

The circumference runs larger than standard sizing, while the crown is a bit short. I wear an xl, but would be suited perfectly to a large in this hat. I lined the brim with part of the foam ring that came in the packing and it fits like a glove and is extra sweat absorbent. It is of quality design and manufacture, however. Totally waterproof out of the box, but it does require maintenance to retain that quality. If it were a cm taller it would be perfect.

Really like this hat as it keep the sun out of my face. Wished hats of this era would come back into fashion:)

I had purchased a Henschel hat a few years ago that was a large and it was tight. This hat is also a large and is rather loose. Otherwise, finely crafted, excellent hat. Love it! Wears well, great sun protection, and I love the finish and color.
