You can use it if your original charger have the same charging interface as ours.

I plugged into wall and light lit green and haven’t even plugged into car to charge.

When you plug the charger into the wall receptacle the light should turn on and show a steady "Green". When you then plug the charger output into the battery charging connection, the light should turn a steady "Red". After some time passes and the battery is completely charged, the charger light should again show a steady "Green". Meaning the battery is completely charged. This is the normal operation of the charger. If the charger is connected to the battery and the charger light right away shows a rapid "red/green, red/green, red/green", you probably have a bad battery that will no longer take a charge.

Will this work for a Kid Trax fire engine?

It should work great if the battery is 12 volt. The charger automatically turns off when fully charged.

Decent charger

The charger does its job. The issue I’m having is I can’t tell if the charger quality is low and that’s the reason why it takes long for the battery to recharge or if the brand new battery that was purchased is the issue. I really like that the light is red when it’s charging and turns green when the battery is at full charge. That’s a simple feature but VERY helpful!
