Easy Swap out!
Pump in my livewell went out and found a video online that these are pretty easy to swap out without having to replace the whole thing. Other than my hands being fat, I was able to maneuver in and with a quarter turn this thing came right out.. I unplugged it from the boat and was ready to install the new one.. The new one does not come with the plug adapter so either you can buy a new one, or just cut the old one off and wire to the new pump. A little bit of a hassle, but it is not plug and play, you will need to re-use the plug.. They sell solderless crimp thingies which make this easy.. New pump worked great once I was able to wiggle my fat hand again inside. Much easier than taking it in to the boat shop where I know they would have charged me a few hundy's..

Only way to go.
Switched to these style of pumps last time I replaced one. Both lasted over 8 years, These are located in a hard to get to place in my boat, so when you replace one you do both. Replacing both took about an hour, quick an easy. Clip two wires, twist the unit off an out, replace it with a new unit , splice two wires an your done.

Just what I needed!
The live wells in my old Ranger (1998) had quit working from old age and lack of use. (catch and release)I considered taking it to my marine mechanic but knew my wallet would take a drubbing once again!!Watched a You-Tube video and decided to do it myself. These little pumps were exactly what I needed, and they were easy to install. Saved myself lots of money and they work great!
