GPX R300S Am/FM Armband Radio with Earbuds,Black

I bought this to take on my long walks and it has been perfect!I love how compact and light weight it is. It comes with an adjustable arm band which gives you the option of wearing it on your arm if you want and also comes with ear buds. The battery life is great. It has lasted me over a month without changing the batteries. I haven’t experienced any static and the reception has been spot on. The quality and durability of this mini radio is good. I have dropped it a few times and it has not broken and still works well.This was a great purchase!

Great for walks in the park

For some reason, there is no way to turn this completely off. Even if the radio receiver itself is off, the time is always displayed, and that apparently really eats battery power. I've used it twice and have had to install new batteries each time, so I am now storing the batteries separately. If I listened to lots of different stations that had to be preset each time, I'd ask for a refund, but as I listen only to NPR, it's not that much of a hassle. For such a low price, it's usable. Just.

My boyfriend uses this for work. He works construction and this is his go to radio. It would be rated more stars if it lasted longer.

The item is really excellent in some ways. Great bass sound with booster button, but also clear sound off bass boost. I like the volume buttons. They appear to be good quality. FM reception is good. AM poor. The presets are difficult to set because you can't get to the desired preset for a station. There may be a way to do it, but I had difficulty getting to the preset number that I wanted to assign to a station. The biggest issue is the thin band for the arm band and that the buckle easily twisted making it difficult to get the armband on correctly. It may be better to remove the armband and store in a running belt or armband pouch, although less access to controls if this is done. Overall a good device with replaceable triple A batteries but would be a headache with the armband issue

This lightweight AM/FM radio can help you trek across town, if you want. The only problem is the earbuds! They don't stay in the ear, so you'll have to purchase some real headphones separately. I found some for just 3.99 on Amazon, so it's not too expensive. And expect to change your batteries every week or so--get cheap ones (8/$1.00) at a dollar store.
