Ships encased in 3/4" pvc pipe for protection. Great performance.
Packaged very well with a 3/4" pvc pipe. At 102" and the price of PVC pipe these days it's a bargain. Gonna use the PVC pipe to reroute my house filter. The antenna is fantastic. Connects to a 6" spring and tied down to back in and out the garage. The SWR, even when tied down read 1.5 .. couldn't be more pleased. Its ears are much better improved compared to the K40 I had on it that just wouldn't tune below 3.2.

102" Stainless Steel Whip
It is exactly as advertised at a very reasonable price. It is for show on my 1963 Ford Falcon Fire Chief's car so I can't tell you if it actually works.

Fantastic Antenna- But Know What You Need
This is a good whip. I leave it tied down with a proper PLASTIC tie down ($10 on amazon or fab your own) most of the time. When released it springs back to perfectly straight, never bent. You MUST use a proper size spring (the big'un) if you want a flat SWR with no tuning. Alternatively, I use a quick disconnect fitting instead of a spring as I found that the spring, with such a huge whip, makes this thing very wiley and not really safe for highway driving. With no spring but a quick disconnect of equal length, I have flat SWR And can have it 'up' at highway speeds with zero issues. You will want to have either a quick disconnect, or a tie-down anyway, because you really can't expect to have this thing waving around at all times!I also USE it when it is tied down. That's why a plastic tie-down is important. It does not function near as well, but I do get out and have about 2.5 : 1 SWR with it tied down (that's about what you'd expect with a 'lesser' antenna anyway). And this is acceptable for general use in my case. When 'up' and at highway speeds especially, you need to have a hefty mount for this. I use the old-school chrome ball mount and it works fine. I have tried this using even quality trunk lip mounts, and it does start to bend the mounts after a while.FYI I have this installed on a Ford Ranger. The ball mount is attached to the extended cab behind the jumpseat and the whip arcs perfectly back to the rear corner of the bed where I have the tie-down attached near the top of the tailgate.Last thing- the price is high on Amazon. You can find whips of equal quality, and made in America, on e bay most of the time. Currently (2018) there is a Ham in TX who makes these and sells them for roundabout $20. Every bit as good with welded base (no set screws).

Great product!
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely like this product! Had one on every truck I have ever owned! I highly recommend this product to every person who uses the C.B. radio, which this antenna is made for. And if you just need to get that radio station that is just out of your range with the stock radio antenna on your truck, just get a radio adapter for your coax and it plugs right into you vehicles stereo! Amazing product! I will buy again if need be.It mounts easy and just alittle time and it’s done, I do apologize for the night time video, I will post a daytime photo as to see a better view!
