I am very pleased with the speed of delivery, as well as the high quality of the Skysen bi-fold barn doors. I've spent the last week staying the doors. There have very small flaws in the woodwork which were filled in with wood putty. After sanding, the imperfections are almost unnoticeable. The finished product is beautiful and the color matches our bedroom floor.

This review is for the 68"x84" bifold barn door set with hardware. What looked like a beautiful product in the photos turned out to be one of the most frustrating and disappointing purchases I’ve ever made.From the moment I began assembly, it became clear that this door is not what it claims to be. If you are thinking of staining this door—don’t. The wood is riddled with flaws. The individual pieces are poorly machined, with visible imperfections everywhere. Some defects were patched with wood putty, but the “repair” work is sloppy at best. The putty wasn't even sanded in most areas, leaving rough, obvious blemishes. To make matters worse, several wood pegs were left protruding from the edges of the door. These weren’t cut flush, and since they extended too far out to be sanded, I had to saw them down myself. The wood is full of unsightly knots—some so poorly glued back in place that gaps are visible around them.As I attempted to fix these issues, even more surfaced. I spent hours sanding, only to realize that painting was now my only option—staining was completely off the table due to the poor quality of the wood. I used a high-quality paint/primer for wood, but the first coat caused the surface to become gritty and rough in several areas, requiring more sanding. After the second coat, new problem areas appeared. This cycle felt endless.The hardware installation was no better. While the roller and pivot points were pre-drilled, the hinges and door handle holes were not. I followed the instructions exactly, including the recommended 1/16" gap between panes using proper shims (which, by the way, should have been included). But the edges of the doors are so uneven that it was impossible to maintain consistent spacing.Then came the door handle installation. The instructions provided no useful measurements, so I relied on the product photo and aligned the handle with the middle hinge—only to find that the provided backplate overlaps the hinge, making it impossible for the doors to fold properly. This is a glaring design flaw. I had to remove the plate, buy my own washers, and improvise a fix just to make it work.This so-called “DIY” project has dragged on for weeks, far exceeding what should have been a simple installation. I’m now facing another headache: installing the bottom pivot. There are no installation dimensions provided for this either, and since I have tile floors, precise drilling is essential. Yet again, the manufacturer offers no guidance.And finally—the price. Charging nearly $700 for this product is nothing short of outrageous. The quality is far below what that price point demands. I am extremely tempted to return it, but I’ve already invested countless hours into making this work.These are only some of the issues I had...This product is a mess, and I regret buying it. Do not be fooled by the merchant's photos. This is hands down the worst purchase I’ve ever made.

bought for walk in pantry in newly remodeled pantry. With paint and some tweaking, they look gorgeous.

We bought and installed the double doors. The doors are beautiful but the instructions to hang them are terrible. We had to re-do a couple of steps as a result. Once we got them up they came together nicely and feel strong and solid. We also ended up with parts left over that were not even listed on the instructions but did not see any where that they were needed.There was no indication as to which door goes where but note: the doors with the pre drilled holes on the bottom are the two outside doors (for a set of 4 doors) Also, the mount that goes behind the handles must be moved over (not centered) in order to mount one of the hinges in the middle so that the doors will open smoothly and correct. We did not follow the order of the instructions in order to make this happen and it turned out fine.In the end, the doors are hung nicely, are level and work very well.

Doors arrived on time but I was not able to hang alone. A friend came over and after over an hour they are hung bewteen my bedroom and master bathroom. Looks great and glad I made the purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I was so excited to put this door up. When it arrived it felt heavy and solid. We were doing renovations so I had my contractor hang it, so I can’t speak to the ease of installation and instructions. After unboxing we found that the door has a broken sliver, but nothing that a little wood glue couldn’t fix, so I told the contractor to glue it and hang it. Now that the door is up, it seems that while the doors themselves are fairly solid, the hard ware is not so great. It looks a little cheap and doesn’t operate very smoothly. We also realized after hanging it that the door is slightly bowed and it causes it to hit the wall before it closes. It will work for now, but I will have to find a solution to keep it from hitting the wall so it doesn’t ruin my new dry wall. With a regular barn door you can pull out on the door to bring it away from the wall, but with the bifold you can’t do that so it really needs a track or something for the bottom, and overall I doubt that it’s going to hold up long term, especially with children.

Love everything about them. They really lift up the rest of the two rooms where I had them installed.

The product arrived on time. The hardware was good. The problem arose when I installed the doors and tried to adjust them. There was a warped and twisted door that made it impossible to install properly.
