Easy Install
Looked at a few of these toilet seats and went with this one because of its design. Was concerned about quality but that concern was quickly left at bay. Quality was really nice and the price was as well. Install was very easy and only took a few minutes. The best features are the front gap of seat and the wing nut type of nut. I had to use a wrench to hold down my old toilet seat. This one I could just hold the nut with my finger as I tighten it. If you are replacing your toilet seat and need an affordable one with quality this is the one for you.

Hard Plastic
The seat and lid are not solid, but made of plastic. Has held up well though.

Seats for Male Well-Being in Leased Living Spaces"
In the realm of bathroom essentials, especially for those dwelling in leased apartments across the United States, the often encountered round-type toilets can pose a challenge for males. Unlike the spacious elongated toilets reminiscent of the bygone era, the contemporary round counterparts often leave little room for comfort, especially when it comes to accommodating male anatomy. The solution, however, lies in the form of a strategically chosen seat – the open front seat on an elongated toilet. This ingenious combination not only provides the much-needed space but also serves as a pragmatic and permanent remedy for the constraints posed by the traditional round toilets. The intricacies of the design are subtly highlighted as the elongated structure of the toilet compensates for the limitations of the bowl, affording a more comfortable and accommodating experience. It's not just a seat; it's a thoughtful resolution for the modern man navigating the spatial challenges of leased living. Therefore, my resounding suggestion is to consider the acquisition of an elongated toilet with an open front seat, an absolute must for the discerning male seeking both comfort and practicality in the often overlooked realm of bathroom fixtures.

It sets flat on porcelain and will peach your leg when getting up

Plastic oblong open front toilet seat
The lid doesn't stay in open position. Not as big a seat area as my wooden fully enclosed seat. Only replaced wooden one because after 1 year of cleaning paint started to wear off! I like the room open front seat has but overall size is small. Size matters!

Excellent seat for wiping obese person
I know this may seem gross to some but it is important. When you're obese it’s hard to wipe front to back. I have short arms and am big and round so how do I possibly wipe with a completely enclosed round seat? This seems like a flimsy seat but it's the strongest and most practical seat I've used. This is what they have in the hospitals and a lot of stores as commercial toilet seats but theirs are missing the cover. This seat allows you to wipe easily, fully, and completely. It washes nicely, although don't use harsh chemicals on it. Plus it's known for its ability to not move at all. Growing up in a household of all girls my dad got this kind of toilet seat for us and I didn't realize until now how it was just one more thoughtful thing he did. But even for men, it's nice too. My husband who is not obese enjoys its pluses.

The toilet is man's last bastion of freedom
Had a kindergartener's toilet, now I have a toilet of a king.
