I took a chance on this gas strut for my car due to the reasonable cost and whilst dubious seemingly have received a well made item.This strut obtained to replace the manufacturers failed gas strut on my vehicles dog guard, having measured and compared the size this duly ordered and received, when compared this 10mm shorter than the origonal however the ram stroke only needed to move about 40mm, this well within this struts capacity of movement.The two ball sockets one each end a standard size dependant on strut size so the included ball and thread supplied surplus to requirement, fitting took some effort as the gas strut piston requiring 200n of force to move however fitting achieved, the ball in socket secured by the supplied pin fitting as per origonal.One month on and the gas strut still working, at less than half the cost of the vehicle manufacturers part this universal strut worth the gamble.

Perfect. This was bought to replace a failed strut on my motorhome habitation door. I was advised to contact a company who could supply one for £90, including £50 delivery! I found this one, it its perfect, works perfectly, delivered very quickly and for free. Absolutely Brilliant! Thank you!

FYI, screw tread width is 8mmI bought two pairs one 950mm 300N and other 850mm 300N. I expected all of the struts opening slowly but the shorter ones open extremely quickly like if releasing spring- Which makes my window dangerous. Disappointing.All in all, one doesn't know if a strut will expand slowly or explosively.

Fitted strait on no quite sure. Of the new to meter force but the ones I ordered a pair of them works fine on a large toolbox lid thank you.

Make sure you get the right strength, work incredibly well
