This was very simple to set up and easy to operate but it's more for a spot light on decorations and it would be fine for that. I needed a longer beam for seeing what was in my driveway. The wiring isn't really something I would think would need to be in the weather and the base is round so you can screw it into something to keep it in one place. For something that goes outdoors, I would have needed a heavier weather proof cord and a stake to put the light base in the ground and not a round screw in piece. No screws included.

UPDATE on this product: Suraielec replaced my light and were very responsive! A great positive about this company and standing behind their products. I am pleased with the response and will not hesitate to purchase from them again.When I 1st got it I liked the timer and different colors. But now it quit working after 30 days use. I had it in a somewhat protected area but it looks like it has taken on some water and it has quit working.

Product is really good. Brightness and dimming feature is great. Remote and timer function properly. A recommendation that would put this over the top is...add a speed adjustment to the color transition. The transition is kind of fast and there's no option to slow it down or even fade between colors.

i used this to up-light an indoor palm. it has several color options, but what i like the best is an internal 24 hr turn on mechanism. you turn it on at a specific time, for a determined number of hours, and it will turn on same time every day. my only question is the sturdiness of the remote, which is necessary to operate. i plan to just set and forget and not use the remote much if possible.

If you use outside, even in snow, they get moisture in the lights. I can't imagine they'll last very long.

I had bought a more expensive $37 laser light that changes display, was very low light. Bought this placed next to it, was so bright that I can barely see the laser light, so I ordered a second one.

Bought this item twice - 1st time stopped working / 2nd time remote not working. Will need replacement remote to find out if this is the problem.

I've had no issues. It has a timer, remote, and you can change the lights/ brightness! So far out has survived sun, rain, wind, Ice, and snow!
