Required to Convert Vintage iPods HDD to Use Flash Memory
Following a popular Instructable guide, I bought this adapter in conjunction with a flash memory card to successfully convert my 2004 model iPod to solid state storage and remove the physical HDD which was failing. If you attempt this, I recommend that you also buy a cheap kit of plastic tools for removing the casing. These are illustrated in the picture. The part has kept the iPod going for several more years so I can highly recommend it if you are not yet ready to consign your vintage iPod to the grave.

Resurrected my favourite old iPod!
I resurrected my old iPod U2 special edition to great affect! I did have to file the tab on the end of the connector to allow it to fit fully into the iPod though

iPod 3rd Gen Flash Upgrade
Used to upgrade the iPod 3rd Gen to a compact flash card perfectly just requires a tab to be filed down slightly.

Item delivered safely and as scheduled.Purchased as part of project to replace an old iPod hard drive that was on its way out. Connection works with the CF card adapter and SD card giving new lease of life to an old gadget.
