Great size. Not sure about the battery life because I just bought this magnifying glass, but it recharges using a standard USB-A attachment. Ot too heavy; I bought this item to read by, so the light is handy.

The media could not be loaded. I'm a 50-something coin collector who wanted to get a lighted magnifying glass that provided 40X magnification and had a built-in stand. This item works perfectly for me. It offers a bright light, clear magnification at the expected resolution, a multi-angle built-in stand, the ability to power it via 3 AAA batteries (not included) or via the USB-A to pin connector (cable included).My favorite feature is the magnification - an upgrade from my previous magnifying glass. I didn't really think I needed the built-in light, but it's very helpful and allows me to look at coins in a room with poor lighting without the need for further illumination. The stand works well, but it feels a bit flimsy. Time will tell if with frequent use it will remain attached to the handle. I like the button placement for illumination (on the left side of the glass. The ability to use the light when it's plugged into a USB port is great, and an unexpected feature.The body of this item is plastic, and it feels balanced in my hand. It's not very heavy, which I think makes it a good choice for all ages. I think the glass area is generous, and for under twenty dollars I think it's a good choice for me with my only reservations being about the stand and whether or not it will remain durable. I wish it was made of metal or a thicker plastic which would instill a bit more confidence in its use.Overall, I'm pleased and I recommend it.

A little bulky for hand holding. It works for what I wanted it for. The light is an added positive.

LOVE this magnifier!! The viewing area is BIG and the light is BRIGHT... much brighter and clearer than my other magnifier! It's a great help with my close needlework. USB makes it super easy to recharge... no more batteries! Convenient storage case, and lightweight considering the large glass.

The size is perfect for elderly man with difficulty with sight. Well made and very sturdy. The light is added bonus even though it is chargeable, batteries are much easier for a senior citizen.

Very satisfied! Magnification is excellent. No distortion. Large glass. Very bright lighting. I don't have any hobbies or projects. Mainly purchased this for hands free use in removing splinters. I would have given 5 stars but somehow I received a used one which was probably returned defective. Anyhow, customer service sent me out a new one within a week.

I have noticed that it's getting harder and harder for me to read fine print, so I purchased this little magnifying glass. It magnifies great, and I know I will use it a lot. If you're using it to read books, I would suggest going with a larger, rectangular magnifying glass. This one is more appropriate for those times when you need to zoom in on specific text, rather than an entire page. It's a convenient size for storing in my purse, for times when I need help reading tiny print, like that of restaurant menus.
