Use just over 2lbs.
Omg! I have been experimenting making my own beef Jerky. This is the only brand I have used. Its great. The directions say to use 2lbs of meat, use just a bit more or it will be too salty. My last batch I made this weekend came out the best I've ever made. I use flank steak and a dehydrator.

Old product?
I ordered this to try a different flavor. Boy, was I disappointed. I should have listened to other reviews which stated this produce seemed to be outdated. I believe it was. When I opened the flavor pouch, the product was clumped and hard, unlike other flavors. I made my jerky the way I always do, and it came out dry and tasted horrible. I don't recommend this flavor.
