Especially fun at night!
These work great! Each gun features voice commands that guide you through the menus. Each features lights to indicate when it's time to reload. Reloading is done by tapping a large button on the bottom of the gun. An LED display on the chest plate count down how many shots are left before you're out. Each gun features 4 modes making it so one shot takes more or less points off your opponent. This works great for us, since I'm a crack shot and it allows us to set up a handicap to make the game more fun for the kids. Although, the more powerful the shot, the more often the kids have to reload, so they're not able to pop off quite as many in a short time. I also noticed the built in sound effects are a little more drawn out for the gun modes that do the most damage on a single shot, keeping you waiting a tad longer before you can pop off another shot. But this level of detail in the programming and the logic behind it make a lot of sense and keep the game more fair for players that are more evenly matched! The programming even prevents cheating mid-game by team hopping or resetting your chest plate, etc.Each gun and chest plate pairs easily by using one of 4 colors. This means if you buy 2 sets of these, 4 people can play against each other. Or if you buy multiple sets you can have anywhere from 2 to 4 teams all duking it out! The fact that the gun and chest plates light up in that unique color make identifying friend or foe possible even in the dark so playing outdoors at night is something we can't wait to do once spring breaks! The range is good and I find they have good accuracy over a pretty good distance! The battery doors have screws to keep them from popping open which is nice. We've been pretty rough with them and haven't had any problems of any kind. The kids and I are leaping around the house like maniacs.Very happy with this purchase!

Not bad for the price. I bought them for a friends 7 year old and he just absolutely loved them. It was great play time for him and his dad.
