The GMRS radio listed works fine for GMRS as designed. It can monitor other bands as well but since it was designed as a GMRS radio it will not transmit on other bands. Yep thatis how it was designed so no problem there.I just wish the knobs stayed on the radio better. Small Compact does its job as designed.

I tried for 5 hours to get it Programmed and i was unable to and i kept turning on and off if the software was so much on a pain in the backside I would have kept it

Simple to use. I read a review downing the radio for only being able to operate on pre-set channels. Thats what it is intended to do. Works great. Many nice features for little money!

This radio is limited to only transmit on memory channels 1-30 that it ships with. You can program in anything you want into the other 170 memory chans, but they won’t transmit, only receive. Can’t transmit on VFO manual frequencies either. It’s basically a useless brick. Wish I didn’t waste $90 on this.
