This product is very easy to use! Though, it was a lot more flexible than I was hoping. My cat was still able to bend the cone and continue biting her fur off and make her scabs worse. It is an ineffective product for a flexible cat who is determined to continue its detrimental chewing of fur and skin.

Our cat just had surgery and she couldn't get comfy with the hard plastic cone, no matter if we propped her up with pillows she would keep getting up to try to find a comfy place for her head. Not to mention she went into full depression mode days after have the plastic cone on. So we got her this and it worked like a charm.When she knocked into a wall with it on, it was not the hard hit like the plastic. She was much more comfy when she slept and would even play with it on. All in all this is a smart buy.This one was a medium, which fit pretty good. I had to tighten it around her neck with the velcro. So the velcro ends did not line up perfectly but it was nice and snug around her neck. Even though the velcro ends were not flat against each other, the cone was secure and never once came off.One last thing, it did get dirty over time but the plus side it was very easy to clean. We would throw it in the washer and dryer In a gentle sanitize wash and put it in a delicate setting dryer and it would come out brand new. I did not think of this till it was too late, it would have been nice 1 extra as back up. When one was washing you can put the extra on them and not have to worry. I only bought one (because I did not realize till later, 2 might have been better) and when it was washing, I had to watch her constantly for the 2 hours of the wash/dry to make sure she wasn’t scratching her stitches or rough playing with the other fur-balls in the house.

So my Chihuahua has ovarian cancer so she tends to lactate every other month. The vets told me whenever she lactates to out a cone on her. The white plastic one just looked uncomfortable everytime she lied down. So here is her new, stylish, and comfy cone! She DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO TAKE IT OFF!!!! SCORE!!!!

I was extremely concerned about my baby having surgery & I knew she was going to hate having a cone placed on her during recovery. I bought three different cones in three different styles and this is by far her favorite. She didn’t mind me putting it on and off of her. The cone is super soft, adjustable, and comfy so it’s easy to sleep in and comfortable to wear. I purchased this in a size M and my cat is 8 pounds. I wish i ordered a smaller size because i had to cut the cone around the velcro area because it was hard for her to walk in because of how big it was. My only complaint is that since the velcro area is heavier than the rest of the cone it falls around her chin area and when it’s around her chin area she has a hard time laying down because the velcro is stiff and doesn’t bend. i’m not sure if that makes sense but i’ll insert a picture of her looking grumpy because the velcro is making it hard for her to lay down or sit comfortably. One of the main reasons i love this cone is because you can place on flat instead of the typical cone shape. It still makes it impossible for kitty to lick her incision, but it’s more comfortable and doesn’t press down on her whiskers (because that can cause depression in cats).

My little one had 4 skin growths removed from different areas on his head and had stitches that needed to be there for 10 days. So I wanted to make sure he was as comfy as possible during that time and this product did the job! The fabric was just too cute!But as many other reviews have said, it does run small. My dog is 10 lbs with a lot of hair and I got him a M, and as you can see from the pictures, I couldn’t get the Velcro to close all the way (although this Velcro is heavy duty and was very secure despite this). In turn, the extra Velcro sometimes would get stuck on the blanket he was laying on or on the fabric of his dog bed. So there were a few times I caught him yanking himself free from his bed because I wasn’t nearby to help right away. I also had to be mindful of making sure his hair didn’t get caught in the velcro too if he rested his head on that part. But otherwise, this thing came in handy and made the recovery process so much better! Just keep size in mind when ordering.
