Great player
My family has gone through a lot of car DVD players in an attempt to keep our daughter content on car rides, and we have mostly been disappointed and frustrated with them, especially with 2 RCA players that ruined most of our Disney dvds. This DVD player has been a much better experience altogether. It mounts super easily, came with tons of accessories, and the screen is huge! The player starts the main feature of the DVD automatically which is mostly a good thing, and the DVD has skipped a few times when going over a bumpy street but it is minimal and I've basically realized that all of the DVD players on the market are going to do that to some degree. ( DO NOT BUY RCA I bought two of those and they both left huge scratches on all our movies). I would definitely buy this again and it was worth the extra $40

Everything about it sucks
I've been suffering through 3 years of using 2 of these. The remotes have microscopic buttons that are illegible. The remote battery cover falls off non stop, and one is lost. The screen and mount rattle. One of them shorts out on every bump, but only if it's being used as the source. It's fine if it's screen mirroring the other device. The best way to use it is with videos on a thumb drive, but it needs some obscure format that takes 2 separate rip and convert programs and I don't remember what combination of settings makes it all work. I've been messing with it for 2 days now trying to add a new video with no luck, so we're stuck with the same videos I first made 3 years ago. As a backup I would hookup my iphone/ipad via HDMI but now that stopped working on our last trip.To top it off, the speakers are mounted on the back. I didn't notice this when the car seats were rear facing, but now that they're forward facing it's blasting right into the back of the front seat driver/passenger. Nothing like hours and hours of tinny cartoon sounds from 3 cent paper speakers.I absolutely hate these screens and everything about them.

Make sure you have batteries.
Great product! Our kids love them. The headphones work great. Being able to switch them too two different channels so that each child can watch their own movie is a plus. The instructions aren't very clear on the setup of the headphones. You must have batteries for the headphones and the remote to be able to set the frequency. Other than that, they are awesome. Picture quality is beyond belief for these little TV's. Like I said though, make sure you have a pack of AAA batteries and AA batteries. Then you are good to go. I would definitely recommend and buy again. We will see how long they last. Our cheaper version made it two years. Hopefully these will last longer.

Very good I'm happy with it but.......
Update 2years later and still loving it and it's been in my car for both years and still works great all I wish is that the power supply had a plug for inside the house :( okay I have on this item for a few days now and so far so good picture quality is decent sometimes it appears that the screen is too bright to turn the brightness down it looks better everything is good to go the only things that I could think could use some improving is it should come with a adapter to plug it into your house plug socket not just the car lighter socket and the controller is pretty cool you turn it sideways and it turns into a video game controller for the thousands of Nintendo games that are on the disc that it comes with but the controller quality isn't the greatest you have to ain't it directly at the laser on the front for it to register and the buttons are a little iffy because sometimes you will push the button to hit a enemy and it will either delay or not function. So what I think the system could use for improvement to be amazing is the ability to download more games onto the system.A adapter of some sort to plug the system into the house not just a car lighter. The controller design is awesome but the functionality of it isn't the greatest you have to image directly after sensor and press the buttons hard if they made the controller a little smoother and better this system would be amazing with all the games that come on it.just got it today fast shipping well at least with Prime the screen quality is good the game disk that came with it is awesome controller is like a game controller when you turn it sideways which is pretty cool the built-in FM transmitter works great I wish the headphones were Bluetooth but they are IR whatever that is and they work well with the DVD player but nothing else that I know of I am completely satisfied but it is day one so I guess I will see so far so good though definitely a happy customerUpdateI've now owned it for a few days and used it a few times so far it works good the picture quality is pretty good I am happy with all that the only flaw I have noticed with it is the FM transmitter when I first got it it sounded clear running through my radio the next day it was horribly staticy sounding and would get better and then worse when you move the cord around other than that it is pretty good the only reason I dropped it down a star is because of the FM transmitter which is the one thing I was looking the most forward to and the fact that you can't plug it into a house to watch movies or play the games in the house well honestly that's not a big issue for like $8 I bought a plug that you can plug in your house that you can plug a car lighter into so I should be able to play it in the house now it just sucks that it didn't come with one or a adapter to plug it into the wall other than that I am impressed with everything else especially the disc with all the Nintendo games on it like a thousand Nintendo games are on that disk the only other reason I am dropping it down a star is because of the remote it is cool that you can turn it sideways and it turns into a Nintendo controller type deal but you have to hold it up high and a mint directly at the system for it to connect to it and the button quality isn't very good especially when you are playing the games it is hard to do basic things like jump or hit enemies or whatever because you will push the button sometimes and it won't do anything.

Highly recommend
Excellent dvd player. We bought one to try it out and we are getting ready to buy a second one. Its extremely easy to use, movies start up automatically where you left of, so know need to hassle with having to try and find where you left off on your movie. The customer service can't be beat. Vicki responds to messages quickly and helps in anyway she can if you have a problem.

Ok player
So far these work good. Good screen quality and volume. The kids love being able to watch different shows.one player is starting to skip. Not sure if it's the dvd or player yet. It's hard to tell when I'm driving.Remote is a pain to operate since I have two units and it changes both when I only want to use it on one. A bit hard for the kids to change out DVDs because it is in the back of the unit and there is not much space to slide your finger underneath to pop them out. I haven't hooked them together to play the same movie because there are a lot of wires to hook them together. Also wireless head phones are a pain because you have to change the player in settings which is hard for my 6 year old to do. We just use plug ins.
