Easy to use. No pins to pull or insert. Works great.

When I received it I tried it out on my different trailers to make sure it would fit. It worked just fine at first but at the third trailer I pulled the pin out and the magnet stayed behind. No big deal, I was half expecting that based on reviews I had read. I got the magnet off of the trailer and used Elmer's Probond Advanced glue to attach it to the pin. I also coated the magnet with a light coat of the glue. Magnets like this are fairly fragile. A glancing blow can cause them to shatter. I speak from experience. The light coating of glue helps lessen the chance of that happening. BTW, this glue dries clear so you can't tell it is there. Now the magnet stays with the pin. The only problem I have now is the magnet is so powerful. I am a little old weak man, 71 years. I have a hard time pulling the thing out. Often I will tap the bottom with a hammer to help me pull it out of the hitch. People of average size and strength should have no problems. I am going to use it this summer and if all works as it should I will buy more of them. I have four vehicles using this type of hitch.

My young grandsons love to have grandpa give them rides on my John Deere Lawn tractor and they always want my utility trailer hooked up. Of course, being 2 and 3 year old boys, they want to remove and install the hitch pin. The one that came with the trailer has a cotter pin which is too difficult for the little guys so I saw this magnetic hitch pin and decided to give it a try. It works great; the magnet is really strong so the hitch pin has never come loose; it is so strong that the little guys need help removing it, but they can easily install it which really makes their day. I can't comment on durability yet but it seems very well built and should last a very long time. Great product!

Should have gotten one a long time ago, makes life so much easier. Didn't think the magnet would hold over bumps but it does.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was that the magnet ring that sits at the base of the handle was only glued down. Sometimes, when I remove the pin the magnet stays attached to my mower hitch. It's easy to pull it off and slide back down the shaft, though. So much easier than dealing with cotter pins.

No more messing with cotter pins. Just slide it in and out to dump the trailer. Great item should be standard on John Deere equipment
