I got this because I need to take calcium for medical reasons. What a waste. I should have read the label better—even if you take all three capsules a day as recommended, it’s only 35 percent of calcium RDA, and certainly not helpful if one needs more than the RDA.The additional minerals are pretty good, but some of the ones that give 100 percent should probably be less, actually. It’s pretty easy, for example, to get lots of zinc from other sources, and zinc poisoning is not fun.Basically, this item is a good mineral supplement, but not a good calcium supplement. If you take a daily vitamin and mineral supplement like One A Day or whatever, you don’t need much of anything in this product. And go find a better source of calcium.

NOW Brand is one of the best on the market. I did research on them and visited their plant in Maine. They passed everything. They have great and cheaper supplements than most without any fillers and temperature controlled environment.

The combination of minerals in this particular Calcium supplement provides the right mix to prevent my osteoporosis and arthritis from causing pain, with the added benefit of helping muscle pain. Too bad more doctors don't recommend mineral supplementation - it really works. Too much, though, and you'll have some issues with over-magnesium-izing yourself. If you don't know what that means, you probably need it!

The Now Calcium Citrate seems to be a good product from a reliable company. The price is reasonable. I take Calcium at the advice of a physician since I am almost 70 and the bones need a little extra help at this point. I also have had to take Prednisone and some chemo type drugs in the last 10 years and this is hard on the calcium (Bones) in the body. For this reason, I take the extra Calcium and will recommend it to others in my position.

These are great capsules. They are rather large, but go down easily. I've had surgery that requires me to take 3 daily. Labs have been perfect!
