Timeless Wisdom for Financial Success
This book has been a game-changer for me in managing my earnings. Despite its use of old English vocabulary like "thee" and "thou," I found the lessons surprisingly easy to understand and apply. One incident that resonated deeply with me was the journey of Arkad's son, Nomasir. Nomasir initially failed to follow the laws of gold but didn't give up. He restarted his journey by applying the rules step by step, and over time, he succeeded. After years of perseverance, he returned home, a wealthier and wiser man. This story highlighted for me the importance of resilience and sticking to sound financial principles even when things get tough. The book emphasizes a straightforward yet powerful rule: "What you earn is yours to keep." It stresses the importance of saving at least 10% of your earnings. It also provided practical advice on managing debts, suggesting that you don’t need to repay everything all at once but can make consistent payments while managing your income effectively. Overall, this book has imparted timeless financial wisdom that remains relevant today, teaching me to save diligently, manage debts wisely, and never give up on my financial goals.

I can't believe I hadn't read this book till now!
The author tells the story of the richest man in Babylon giving the fundamentals of saving, investing wisely and having money work for you. It also highlights how procrastination, trust and the basics of lending money and its pitfalls. It is a book I would recommend for anyone between the ages of 14 and onwards to build strong saving habits and investing wisely to have your money work for you. I can't believe it was written in 1926, about at time in ancient Babylon and still holds true today. The old english gives a better feel for the era it describes. A terrific read!

I don’t know what the hype is about
I still didn’t manage to get through the whole big, it’s okay-ish. I guess for someone who is clueless about managing finances, there might be some valuable info. But if you’ve read other books on finance or are more aware - it all seems quite dry and repetitive
