This is the best chocolate I've ever used and I do a ton of baking. It melts easily and has exceptional flavor. My chocolate dipped Christmas cookies look and taste even better this year.

We ordered these, and they arrived as promised and in good condition. We have used Merckens chocolate in the past for making Christmas chocolates and this was still good quality chocolate. They are great for adding to cookies or making chocolate candy with.

It claims to be dark chocolate and it is NOT!. Also extremely poor quality chocolate and excessively sweet. I wanted to returning says it can be returned by April 21 however Amazon will not allow return.

First, I was hugely impressed that this product was shipped to me in an insulated envelope with cold packs. I dont know if that's because it originated in Arizona or something, but taking that much care for a delicate food item was awesome and appreciated!I used this chocolate to fill some plastic molds. The first time I had used the molds, I melted regular chocolate chips and although the molding went fine, the candy didnt taste very special. This darker chocolate was just as easy to use for the molding and the results were much more enjoyable. The sheen on the molded pieces was really shiny and the pieces released from the molds easily. Also, the flavor was much more enjoyable when easten as a big solid piece. It feels nice on your tongue, not so grainy as milk chocolate.I liked the product and I can imagine it would be a nice change in some of my baking recipes.
