Head gasket repair liquid.
To be honest, I was a little bit sceptical about this product because I couldn’t get my head around how this liquid product could stop the leak in the head gasket after watching a lot of videos and speaking to my mechanic I thought I’d give the product ago. Two weeks later I have checked the water level in the expansion tank and it’s only gone down a little bit where as before I was losing Walter as soon as I drove for half an hour. I must say this product has worked for me but make sure you follow the instructions carefully in my experience great product.

Waste of money - Do not buy !
This was a waste of money, did not work and i followed the instructions to the letter, to make sure, i checked the steal seal website and read the actual instructions, which advise taken out the spark plugs one by one to identify the culprit. Flushed the coolant 3 times before adding sealant and ran for 30 mins when temp reached 90 degrees. Left it overnight for a whole 24 hours and next day ran again for 30 mins but right at end started bubbling and overheating. Since then flushed it several times, which was a pain to get rid of all this sealant and even now with distilled water added it is still overheating. Gist is; if you have a head gasket issue, then there is no choice but to strip the engine and clean it and replace the gasket. This will now be my next plan, just wished i get my money back but this seller simply states follow the claim procedure on the bottle, and that is steal seal requires a mechanical reciept advising head gasket failure or a scrap certificate. This mean forking out more money to a mechanic just to get your money back for this cr*p bottle of snake oil and that means the gaurantee is a lie.

I had my doubts, but it worked for me so far.
This has worked great so far and is still holding after 1 week.I didn't just pour it in and go, as I didn't know what coolant was already in my vehicle.I did a diesel sniff test first to confirm exhaust gasses in my coolant.I then did a full engine flush. After the flush I added the Steel Seal to my coolant system with water and ran at temp for 30 mins with the heater and blowers on max.I let the vehicle cool for 4 hours and flushed again. After this second flush I filled my vehicle with the correct spec coolant and deionised where.I ran a new sniff test and confirmed that the Steel Seal had worked.

More hassle than it's worth
My car was losing coolant slowly but no sign of a leak. Soo i assume it would be a head related issue . On the fence of what to do. I decided ill give this stuff a punt.As i was replacing a rusty radiator hose. I thought id put it in with fresh coolant as recommended. All seemed well to start with. I ran the car for 30 mins at idle as it stated on the bottle. The heaters started off hot then after 25 mins they went cold. I thought id had an air lock in the system soo i took it for a drive to see if it would clear it. The car instead got very hot and i had to pull over for it to cool down. (heaters were still cold)The next day i looked into this. To find this product had sealed the thermostat solid and blocked the heater pipe. I have now done 2 coolant flushes and finally i think i got the gunk from this product out of the system.
