Fantastic pencils!! I have both sets of the skin tone pencils from this brand and I have to say, they are fantastic!They go on so creamy and smoothly!I have many different pencil sets ranging from regular pencils, watercolour, castle oil and gold and prismacolour and this are even better or maybe on par with prismacolour in quality.They sharpen well and do not break. Really pleased with this purchase.

I was skeptical at first when I bought these black widow pencils.But I was surprised at the quality of the pencils for the price. Good selection of portraits colours to use for your work or just to practice with.They are soft and lay down very easily and smoothly. These pencils them self are all black barrel with the tip in the colour of the pencil.I have used them and found them a joy to use and very easy to blend with.They lay down very well on the paper and can take some hard pressure when using them without breaking the tips.They sharpen very well to a point and are comfortable to hold while I'm using them.I did find the packing, the tin very sturdy and held the pencils in place with the plastic tray nice and snug.Be ideal when you are on the move knowing that the pencils will not move around and break the lead.

I bought these because when I saw the colours, I felt most were very similar to the tones I see in the landscape in my part of the Scottish Highlands during Autumn in particular. I'd never used Black Widow pencils before but I'm so glad I took the chance because they have turned out to be ideal for me. I really like the delicacy of the tones and the seemingly endless possibilities for layering and blending.I tend to work on a small scale and prefer to have my pencils really sharp. These sharpen really well and the points seem don't break or crumble. They lay down their colour very smoothly and give me the tonal quality I am looking for.I have pencils from many different manufacturers - some cheap and others very expensive - and I have to say that these are now at the top of my list. I will be buying more Black Widow pencils. If they are as good as these then I will delighted and will certainly be switching my allegiance.

I am no artist but love colouring and found my budget colouring pencils were not really giving me the results I wanted. I am not rich so value for money is important and so is quality. I also wanted a big range of colours which, despite the size of my budget sets, I was not getting. The Black Widow range has ticked all those boxes and their customer service is beyond brilliant. I now have the three first sets, Black Widow, Scorpion and Cobra, the two sin sets light and dark, finally the Monarch set. 144 pencils and the colours...omg wow time. the feel is beautiful and believe me I can be fussy as I tend to colour for a long time. They sharpen lovely and I can not wait to add the Dragon set. All in all a brilliant set at a fantastic price.

I have used many different colouring pencils to colour skin, but in most cases, it always turns out too dark.Black Widow has always proved to be a good pencil from most, but having a specific set for skin is not something that is easy to achieve. This set is one I would recommend from any other makes, and yes, I have tried other makes of skin colours but none of them come close to this set.If you want a very pale complexion then this is what you can expect from this set. I wish I knew about this set before paying out for many others trying to find that perfect colour set.For the price you can't go wrong, a worthwhile purchase.
