1967 f100 relay upgrade
I bought this to upgrade a Ford f100. I am in the process of adding relays for a dual electric fan setup and headlight relays. Right now I only will be using 4 out of the 6 available fuses and relays. I was a little worried when I read the review by someone saying that they had a hundred dollar crimper and something called f dies that they couldn't get to crimp the terminals properly. I decided to risk it and try it anyway. I have a crimper I bought on sale for 9.99 at my local big box store (the crimper in the photo). After drawing out my wiring diagram I crimped one as a test and could not pull it apart, no matter how hard I tried. I guess $10 crimpers must be better than the $100 version with seperate dies. I did buy the kit instead of just the box because I was unsure if the box only version would come with the seals. The fuses are super cheap and flimsy. I probably will not use them since they are just normal automotive fuses. The relays seem ok, I will use them if they work. I plan on adding a few more pictures once I get everything installed. I do not like the metal mounting brackets so made a flush mount spacer for the wiring out of some expanded PVC and a CNC router. But that was just because of aesthetics, I'm sure sure the included brackets would have worked as intended. A few reviews mentioned the cover breaking, I put it on and took it off a few times and haven't had any problems, so fingers crossed I won't have the same issues. Overall I think this is going to be a great upgrade to an old truck that didn't use relays for anything.Update: I do intend on adding a few more pictures of the completed installation, unfortunately I ran out of warm weather and now the old truck is tucked safely away in the barn until spring. Once it warms up I will post more pictures. But I am still completely impressed with the relay block, from my original post in June until the weather turned ugly in December I have had no problems with anything I wired through the block.

Well designed and functional relay box
This is a great relay box. I gave a 4 rating because instructions & the items supplied in the cardboard box don't agree. Here's what was included in my purchase on 5/25/25. A black plastic relay box having a lid with o-ring gasket. The box has six 30/40 amp relays installed. Each relay is feed by an 11 inch long wire. Wire size TO relay contacts is 12 AWG. Wire FROM relay contacts is 12 AWG and is 11 inches long. Wire to and from relay coil is 16 AWG and 11 inches long. Included are 6 blade fuses installed in the relay box plus 6 blade fuses packaged separately. Total of four 10 amp fuses; four 20 amp; two 25 amp and two 35 amp. There is a single lug terminal (0.320 hole) connected to six 12 AWG wires which are 6 inches long. There are four non-stainless bracket mounts with 4 sets of stainless bolts, flat washers and nylon locknuts. There are 6 butt connectors for 12 AWG wire. The instructions are readable and very understandable. Each red power supply wire going to the box is labeled for the relay it feeds. Each relay has 5 wires leaving and each group of 5 is labeled as to the associated relay. Note - the clips holding the cover are difficult to release.

Works well. Good Quality.
Installed this on my FJ Cruiser this weekend. Worked perfectly and for me, the stand-offs came in handy. There are some reviews that mention the tabs on the cover break, I didn't experience the issue, and the box itself is a good heavy plastic.

Impressed!
I bought a kit since I prefer to solder connectors, and I wanted to use some heavier gauge wire on a couple of the power and load sides. I also didn't need access to any of the normally closed connections. The kit came with everything except the wire, and included some spares for just about everything. A collection of fuses.were also included. The box is rugged and well made. The seals all around are good quality, and the wire holes are closed before punching a wire through. The relay bottom seals are properly sized for 16 gauge switch wires, and 14 gauge power wires. And the fuse seals are for 14 gauge. The relays can be wired for normally open, or normally closed (or both). It took several evenings to get everything soldered and wired neatly. I recommend the pre-wired version if you're not patient, comfortable with wiring, or if you don't have the tools. And considering the wire alone will cost $20, the pre-wired kit amounts to free labor.Overall, this is a very good quality kit with everything but the wire included.

Good quality
High quality with good instructions. I needed to add extra electric fans to my A/C condenser and a control relay for the electric fuel pump for my aftermarket EFI fuel system.

Relays can fall out of receptacles.
The relays are held in place solely by friction. There is no "snap" connection. And there is plenty of room inside the box for the relays to fall out completely. If you intend to mount this horizontally, or in a very low vibration environment, then it may work. Otherwise it should be avoided.
