Heartbreaking roller coaster of a story
This story is so emotionally dark, with a dark anti-hero who finds light in a broken girl. You pray for their happy ending.

I'm left speechless. Absolutely gobsmacked
I'm speechless, absolutely gobsmacked! To simply put it, TMAHO Part 1 is amazing. Which isn’t all that surprising since I’m in love with all of Lylah James stories! When it comes to Mafia books, the Tainted Hearts series is my go to. I love, love, love them all! No matter how heart breaking they are… I’m looking at you Blood and Roses! From the moment Victor was introduced in the first book of the Tainted Hearts Series- The Mafia and His Angel, I knew I’d love him. I felt so bad for him, especially when Lylah dropped the bomb in TMAHA Part 2 that Viktor was in love with Ayla, and I always hoped that he would find his own ‘angel’ to love because he deserves it and he has!The first few chapters are so deliberately evasive and vague with both the chapters POV identity and what the reason behind their inner thoughts and feels is. I’ll admit that I might have muttered my fair share of insults the first time I read them until it all becomes clear later on.Just like the other books in the series, TMAHO is no exception to how strong the emotional connection I shared with the characters as I read their story. The moment I picked up this book, I couldn’t put it down, someone could have set me on fire and I’d still have been reading it. I cried, laughed, swore (a lot) and cooed so much during this book. You wouldn’t believe how many wary looks I got in public.I honestly didn’t think that I could loathe another character the way I loathed Alberto, but I was proven wrong when Valentin waltzed in. there is not a strong enough word to describe how much I’d like to run that little *bleeper* over… repeatedly.Viktor and Valerie… Two broken souls that help to mend each other and merge together as one.Yes, Viktor does not seem as broken as Valerie, but at the same time he is. While she is the mute, deaf abused wife of Valentin Solonik; Viktor is tormented by his emotions. And just when he finally figures out exactly what it is that he wants/needs; he’s thrown a curve ball along with the possibility that he could lose it all.Just like Lylah’s other female protagonists in her other books, Valerie is so beautifully broken that she shows a certain strength that I admired. My heart ached so much for her, not to mention the resilience that she shows throughout the book is just… urgh I can’t put it into words how proud I was of her. And don’t even get me started on the scene when she spoke for the first time! Yeah, I cried at that.Once again, Lylah James lives up to her reputation and leaves us wanting more with yet another cliffhanger! These two together are perfect! They balance one another, and I swear if they don’t get their happy ending in part 2 I don’t know what I’ll do with myself!I’m bursting at the seams, waiting for part 2!

Yes you guessed it 5 bloodworthly stars. This series has had me hooked for the very first page of book one.I love the fact u get to see and be a part of everyone else's lifes. It's always someone different yet you still hear all your favourites. This is 'him' one person I've been wanting to read their story there was just something about him. (don't wanna spoil the book and tell you who)Everything is lie, everyone is a lie. Every thing you hear is a lie!!!!!It had me wondering who was on who's side till i learnt the truth.Loved it had me wanted more, and i cant wait to see how this all ends, how it all pans out.Who will win the game???5 definitely well deserved stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There is so much to say about this book! It’s great!! After reading the mafia and his angel series, I have like viktor, he’s such a dark yet funny character! And Valerie! So intriguing so many twists and turns throughout! All I can say is that you should 1000000% read this book and all of the tainted heart series! You will not regret it!

3.5 stars
This one is so hard to review because I’m not sure really how I feel. The first 30% I didn’t enjoy, the beginning was just super slow and a little boring but I think the purpose of it was to remind readers of what was going on. After the 30% mark things started to pick up for me and I started getting into the story more but I still wasn’t as excited like I was while reading TMAHA P1/2/3. I liked Viktor’s character and I liked Valarie as well they both were likable characters! Valerie’s story was heartbreaking and I really felt for her. Viktor has a mission and Valerie is distracting him from it! I liked the book but I just didn’t love it like I wanted to!! Towards the end I kept thinking something huge was gonna happen and leaving me panting for the next book and there wasn’t really. Some info was revealed and I was like “okay what’s next?” So not as big of a twist as I was hoping! I’ll still read the next book but I won’t be signing up for the arc again.

So hard to put down!!
I must of read this book in a couple of hours, I had a really hard time putting it down. The beginning of this book confused me, well it made me think wtf is going on and who is Konstantin? This is not what I expected at all, from reading book 3 of Alessio and Ayla's story then going to this was a shock.HER captured my heart, but she didn't break it like I like thought she would or like Ayla did. I think it's because she was stronger than Ayla.Lylah James books aren't boring they keep you guessing.I can't wait to read part two!I would of given 5 star but the one thing I didn't enjoy about this book was that Alessio and Ayla make appearances, I don't think this book needed it at all.

Wow
Just when I thought the series couldn't get any better, the mafia and his obsession was brilliant. I was so happy to read Victor's story. My heart went out to Valerie. It was so good to meet all the characters from the mafia and his angel, especially Alessio and Layla. I can't wait for the next Instalment of the mafia and his obsession.Thank you Layla.
