Citri-Strip ECG73807 Paint and Varnish Remover, 17-Ounce, Aerosol

Best Stripper out there! Low odor, easy spray, easy clean up, did the trick in 6 hours. Used on maple old table.

This stuff worked great! I used it on a very hot day and I only let it sit for about 30 minutes before I wiped off the old paint. I let the second project sit for about an hour and that was too long, the sun dried it up and I had to re-spray which worked fine. This doesn't go very far though, I used almost a whole can with just two rounds on a small end table top.

I live in an department. There's no way that I could use traditional strippers because of the strong smell and the flammability of them. Citri Strip has no smell to it. I used it on table and table and chairs with three coats of paint and stain. They also had the original finish which had been in them at least 75 years. I let the Citri Strip set on them for about two hours. It literally peeled off all of the pain and stain. With a scrapper it came off easy. Citri Strip made it much easier for me to sand off a good portion of the original finish.I also used this on a table that was about ninety years old. The finish came right off. It was very easy to sand it down. Cleaning up is fairly easy. I'd definitely recommend this to other people!

This product definitely gets the paint off! I used this for the top of my dresser that I previously painted a few months back, and I still have most of the can left over. I had a solid two coats of primer and two coats of paint on my dresser and the Citri-Strip removed it all. Unfortunately, the spray does produce a smell that will give you a bit of a headache, but I would imagine it's much better than other paint strippers. Same goes for the mess. This is definitely not a mess-free product, so I would suggest doing this outside or in a garage, but again I think it's a lot less messy than other products. Before I sprayed my dresser I was sanding it down by hand, which I probably would still be doing if I hadn't bought this product. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is having difficulty sanding off old paint.

I have been looking for awhile for a paint stripper that is safe and not to harsh, I found that this was my best bet since its low odor and could be used in doors. The price is okay, for what i needed to do. Since there's no heavy chemicals that you would normally find in a regular stripper, it takes longer to do its thing. The container says between 30min- 24hrs to get it's full effect. If you're looking for instant results, this product isn't for you.

I was skeptical about buying stripper in a can but this stuff worked so well I bought more for the second project I am working on. Don't bother buying anything else. This is convenient AND effective.

Great product. But doesn't go a long way so order more then you think you need. No fumes. Very easy to apply. Took layers of spray paint right off a wood dresser

My mom is passing down a solid wood teak dining table to me. It looks dated with its cherry colored varnish so I decided to give this product a try. Sooooo easy to use even though didn’t even have tools for scraping. I just sprayed, let citristrip settle for a few minutes, then scraped off the color with a postcard (I know, just an old postcard). I dumped all the old varnish that I was scraping into an old plastic food takeout container and wiped the table clean with a damp microfiber cloth. The teak wood table looks so beautiful now! Oh and, this product doesn’t have a strong smell. Just smells like a regular household cleaning product. So happy with the result!
