Solera Black Slide Topper Awning - 13'6" (13'1" Fabric)

I am very happy with the product. It was easy to install. You need two people a couple stepladders some patients only took 45 minutes.

Replaces original shade. Same manufacturer, but hardware is different, so had to replace all brackets. Did the install by myself, easier for two. Directions were clear and detailed. Very happy with the outcome. Knocked down one star on durability because the original shouldn’t have needed replacing, it was only 5 years old.

I guess you take your chances with this one and hope it arrives undamaged. This is a shipping issue because they throw the parts in the tube with the awning and they are free to bounce around during shipping and end up scratching the crap out of everything. The support link on the sellers page takes you to Lippert and you need to know the extension of the person you want to talk to or you can leave a message. Since I had no idea who I should be asking for I submitted a web request which is the other option. I have not received any response other than one from Amazon because I clicked on return the order.I ended up purchasing some matching spray paint and some larger black screws. If I wasn’t heading out on a trip I would have waited and kept calling but I wanted the topper for the trip and wasn’t about to order another one in hopes they would take this one back.The good stuff.Installation was fairly straight forward and there are enough videos out there for any questionable parts. I do wish manufacturers would add some re-enforcement where the brackets go because there is not a lot of material for the screws to grab. Hopefully it doesn't end up ripping out like one of the other reviewers indicated.After the installation there is a slight wrinkle in the fabric but that might work itself out after it sees some use. I did run the slide in and out several times before putting the screws to hold the fabric in place as directed by the instructions but that did little to remove the wrinkles. You can see in the one picture that it does not seem to be on the roll straight.If customer service gets back to me I will update this review but I am not holding my breath.

Awning looks great and is doing it's job, easy to install with a second person helping. Shipping was super fast, 1st one was damaged in transit but Amazon took care of it and the second awning looks great.

I ordered this item twice and both times it arrived damaged beyond use.The first time, 1/3 of the tube was missing and the end bracket was damaged with the aluminum rail pinched shut for about 1 foot.The second item was delivered with one end of the shipping tube crushed and the mounting bracket bent over about 4 inches and was un-repairable.The shipping tube the manufacturer uses to package the awning is not strong enough to survive the retail shipping process, so if you do order one, make sure you are available when it is delivered to inspect the item before accepting it.

Don't forget to buy caulk and Butyl tape!!!Super easy to install with two people, fits great, and looks good too! Brackets are easy.The top rail has more holes than screws provided (I think I missed a direction), so that's worth paying attention to.Didn't need two ladders, the second person can use a push broom, or something similar to hold up the other end while one person guides the fabric into the upper bracket.Total time was about 2 hours.

This topper was a perfect fit on my 2024 Salem camper. The Solera company wanted $2000 for it plus $300 delivery fee. Only paid $521 on Amazon. Looks awesome. Highly recommend this product.

Went together very good quality was good the seams were all stitched together and not glued would buy again
