Ordered Flat Earth... Edit
Upping this to 5 stars.I received the wrong color, sent it back and got the wrong color again. I originally rated this 2 stars.I contacted Mostrum support for help. It turns out they're out of tan. They offered to refund (without return). Although a very generous offer from Mostrum, I declined. I'll keep it. I'll use it.This is a great scope mount. It's height is perfect for me. My scope sits tall and I can position it above the charging handle and have plenty of space to charge.Lots of mounting screws. The bottom of the scope sits 1 3/16 above the rail. I'll update this after my next 500 rnds on how well it holds up.If you don't mind black, get it. Great quality at a great price.Edit: ~500 rds 55gr 223 and no issues. It's holding up well. No locktight. I still test the screws each 200rds or so.

Decently made, works well.
Ppl complain about it being made in China... but Monstrum has come a long way and has their stuff together. Nicely made, finished well. Fit the scope perfectly. No complaints.

Solid budget mount
I bought this to mount a vortex strike eagle with. Before even making any adjustments, the scope was nearly zeroed at 50yds. About 8 clicks down and 4 to the right and I was zeroed within two adjustments and less than 10 rounds. So far, it's held zero and feels solid. Very impressed with the quality for the price!

Satisfactory mount at a great price
I used my Wheeler alignment/lapping kit on this to see how good it was.Alignment was good between both rings. The pictures from lapping speak for themselves--looks like the mount needed it. The machining left some grooves in one of the top ring halves. In fairness, I didn't keep track of the top pieces the first time I took it apart--it may have done better if I'd marked them first thing. The threading seems to be good quality but the screws turned roughly in the holes. From what I can tell, they are not tapping the holes oversize to account for the added thickness of the anodizing. I ended up chasing all the threads with a tap to clean them up and the screws turned a lot more easily. I don't think this is something you _need_ to do.I already had the lapping kit and tap so no additional cost for me, but I spent a couple hours getting the mount up to the next level. I don't have a lot of spare time these days so in retrospect I think I would jump to the $60 range where less fussing would be required (but let's be honest I might have fussed with a fancier mount, too). And I have heard of folks needing to lap nicer mounts.Overall good value for the money. IMO most scope mounts are ridiculously overpriced for what they are. Nice to see these at a price regular folks can afford. $100 scope plus $30 dollar mount will work just fine for most folks (not everyone is trying to shoot a hair off a fly at 200 yards).

Great mounts for the price!
I have ordered several of their products. Overall for the money they are great, manufacturing standards are not the highest, but then again for the price you can't beat it! These mounts are lightweight, strong, and I really like their design. The screws are aluminum and that is a drawback if used on any gadget, you must torque them to proper value or the head will strip. I had that happen to me on one of them, but I sent email to company and I got replacements quickly!!! Overall I say that you can't go wrong with these mounts. I would recommend this purchase to anyone. Price is excellent and the product is good! Monstrum has been on my favorites list since I got these.

Repeat customer. I’ve had really good luck with these.
This is the third cantilever mount I've purchased from Monstrum. I have one holding a Vortex Crossfire II on my small game AR, one holding a Leupold 1.5-4x LPVO scope on my home defense setup, and this third just installed on my AR10 DMR build, waiting on a Primary Arms SLX 4-14x HUD illuminated reticle. I mention the builds and optics because many of you reading this review may be as skeptical as I was of using a $30 mount for $200-$300 optics.I’ll freely admit that these mounts lack the fit and finish of most top tier mounts that cost $100 and well above. However, they do perform way outside their price point, and I’m all about saving money fore more guns and optics if I cans find a RELIABLE affordable option. Also worth mentioning, I do use blue threadlocker on all hardware on all optics and mounts that I use, and I would recommend you do the same, regardless of what mount you use.Bottom line, these mounts work well. They hold zero, they’re fairly robust, and they even come with extra hardware... which is always a good thing to have. They wouldn’t be my first choice in gear to deploy with, but the quality you get at the rock-bottom-dollar “made of chinesium” budget construction of these things should be more than enough for the average shooter.

Amazing product, even made me happy!
I have to be brutally honest, I over rationalized this purchase. I have always been a Leupold mount fan, no matter what scope brand I bought. But I had a hard time rationalizing spending $100 for a mount when the Monstrum was starring me in the eye at less than $35. I researched the Leupold and the Vortex and decided well that the Vortex was probably made by the same factory in China and the Vortex reviews talked about issues like top mount color that the Monstrum folks said so I rationalized the Vortex was made by Monstrum.I bought the Monstrum and I am amazed! This mount is perfect in every way. I am not sure why all the complaints on the screws, if you use a torque wrench there are no issues. For those of you who don't own one, well then you should not be installing your own scope. Stop complaining!Install when amazingly smooth. no issues. I like the 4 positive locks on the Picatinny rail, unlike Vortex who only has one and Leupold only 2. The screws are all Torx and no issues there. Take my word, save yourself some money and get a great product, I am a fan for life!
