W1309 6-Inch Abrasive Belt/Disk Cleaner with Handle

As a high end custom wood worker, I don't like down time, time spent preforming maintenance on equipment, that if built w/ a better concern for the worker using the would not require "as much" attention- don't get me wrong, I'm excessive when it comes to upkeep on my tools (or truck), I want the tools to outlast me (if that's possible)my table saw is a 1946 Darra James 12", it is better than any new saw- the prostik abrasive cleaner helps me greatly extend the working life of all my sanders- from my Wood Master drum sander, my 3 hand held belt sanders as well as both of my palm sanders- when working w/ high pitch species(pine,purple heart, ect.) this product quickly removes all the build-up (don't let the pitch "burn" into the paper). When working w/ hard woods (oak,black walnut,hickory- ect.)I find that a light touch w/ the Prostik extends the life of the paper by 2-3x's. When working w/ my palm sanders, the paper doesn't require changing near as much, also you won't need to "bear down" to remove as much material when using a belt sander- the cost of this "little helper" is very small compared to the cost of new ceramic paper or the expensive rolls, needed for any drum sander- spend a little, save a lot

I was excited for this product. Seemed like a no brainer, handle in between the rubber and sander belt, yes please.First one came, opened shrink wrap and the knob handle fell right off. Ok, defects happen. Let’s swap.Second one, same thing.Now I’m just going to pre-drill a hole thru the knob and put my own screw at the top.Really disappointed.

It's amazing how quickly and thoroughly it cleans my sander belts...it will pay for itself very quickly with increased belt longevity.

Works great for cleaning up my belt sander. Easy to use with the handle also.
