I needed a hat that wasn’t so tight around my head and held all my hair for culinary school. It’s perfect! I am worried about the strap breaking after a while but other than that it’s working as I had hoped. I wash it but do not dry it in the dryer. Maybe that will help keep the little strap from drying out and breaking.

I like the hat overall, but a little smaller than I thought. Not as adjustable as I thought it would be. However, it is my go to if I need a chef hat in a pinch on the fly.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my son who loves to cook. He's a pretty good cook. I told him he only has to wear it when I'm at his house and he's cooking for me.

I ordered 3 of the black toques and have rec'vd many compliments. With a lot of hair and a big head on top of it, I still find that the band is tight even after it is adjusted, however it is much better than the paper hats that we wear at work. One down side is after trying on one of the toques, the band snapped, so I will have to try and sew it back together since I've already opened the package. I wish Chef Works made a larger size for people with thick hair, because tight hats cause a permanent wrinkle/crease in the forehead after wearing them for a while. Also, why did the price go up? I paid under $12 for mine a couple week ago and now they are over $14? Wanted to order more.

I hate every other style of chef's hat... I have a melon sized head and "one size fits most" hats never fit... This one does (kind of...) My last one is faded from 20+ years of being my faithful side kick! I'm gonna have a hard time letting him go but need to look a little sharper AND LESS TIRED AND FADED! IT'S NEVER LET ME DOWN, THE SEAMS ARE STILL GOOD, THE VELCRO IS GREAT, ETC... THE BLACK IS JUST NOT BLACK ANY MORE!CHEF MIKE CAN COOK

I wanted a nice quality chef hat. This is no disposable hat. There is an adjustable clasp at the back, and easily fits my head (I measure 7 3/8 hat size/ or about 23 inch). It looks to me like it could handle a 7 3/4 (24.25 inches). Feels like nice material, but won't get too hot. Of course, it is made in China. I would love to buy something like this made in North America, but it will do what I want for a good price.
