Don't Pay More Get This
This is a great digger. Every similar tool I could find has a suspect grip with bad reviews about the grip falling off or apart. I just returned a Hori Kori knife with a wooden handle because it fell apart after a couple uses. I can tell this grip will not fail anytime soon and if it ever did I bet I could replace it with a bicycle grip and I work at a bike shop. The blade is sturdy, the whole unit is sturdy. The one things I wish will be improved on are the sheath, I would pay more for a nice heavy duty leather sheath. The other thing is the color of the handle, I would like to see an olive drab or camo grip. Digging is comfortable and smooth. There is little chance the more expensive Garrett digger is better. I took my chances and have no regrets.

Very good quality
I hesitated before trying this because its made in China. We all know that Chinese goods are often garbage or flat out stolen knock offs of other people's labor. After using lesche tools for years I read the good reviews on this. Lesche has worked well for me but I had one where the rubber handle came off and frankly it's not really padded for comfort. So I decided to give this a shot.First of all it is well made. This is not your typical Chinese steaming pile of junk that you will be throwing away in two months (been there done that). I found it simple and easy to dig with even in dry soil. However with the indentations on the blade and the markings it's harder to clean before returning to the sheath. And it is harder to.get into the sheath. But it's also sharper which helps dig. It's a little wider so it's easier to remove dirt from the hole. The wider blade also means less work to create the hole. This could be improved with a better sheath that would allow easier inserts. Beyond that my only gripe is it's harder to clean and in wet soil it does matter.Beyond that it's pretty much perfect and it costs about the same as a lesche. Either one will do a great job but this is a great digger regardless of where it's made and I.generally prefer to support american jobs but this deserves credit.

Good tool for beginning garden
Does what its supposed to. Cuts through without much effort. Could be a little sharper but can understand why it wouldnt be sold as such.
