tartelights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara

I was all pumped up to try this after hearing about it from a well known You Tuber who swears by it. I'm very selective about make up brands and cruelty free, vegan standards. Tarte has a great line of vegan and cruelty free products but I just learned their parent company, Kose', DOES test on animals so technically Tarte does not but their ownership company does. This is disappointing considering money on Tarte is still dipping into the overall pot and supporting Kose. The mascara itself will get 5 stars for lightness, extended lash length and moderate volume. The brush is awesome and really helps separate and lift. This is a great natural looking daytime mascara and will not give you clumps or spider leg lashes. If you want party lashes go with a thicker formula. This really adds the perfect touch to sprucing up your eyes without looking overdone! It also washes off easily. 0 stars for KOSE' for animal testing and a hope that Tarte will keep their dignity of cruelty free and vegan based cosmetics and consider switching at some point to a parent company with sane practices. If I would have known this before buying the mascara I would not have purchased it so wanted to provide this feedback as educational caution.

I am a makeup fanatic. I don’t usually have a single favorite brand of any single type of makeup as I love so many. But this is hands down my favorite mascara. I usually switch up mascaras by what type of look I’m trying to achieve but I use this mascara regardless of what I’m trying to have the effect of my eye make up be. It’s incredible. It thickens and lengthens in ONE coat. And does so without any clumping. What more can you ask a mascara to do?! Is it pricy? Yes. Is it worth every penny? Absolutely. Buy it. You’ll LOVE it.

Works good for length, volume not so much

So glad I tried this based on a recommendation. I've been around awhile and I've tried them all, from expensive department store (Dior, Estee, Laura Mercier, etc) to drugstore bargains. This mascara applies quickly, no clumping, looks really sexy, separates, darkens and curls, lengthens and has never flaked or smudged unless I actually rub my eyes or fall asleep, (I HATE flakey mascara) but let's be realistic - you are putting stuff on your eyelashes and it will come off if you rub it... I feel finished and my eyes really look good. My fav mascara ever - HG - please never stop making this, Tarte!

I have been searching for a miracle mascara for over 10 years now. I have tried many, many different mascaras during this time. Most were just average, and some were so bad that I threw the tube away. I first purchased this mascara from an Ulta store after an associate recommended it. This is the only mascara that I can say comes close to being the miracle product I've been looking for. It makes my very, very short lashes beautiful. They are darker, thicker, and fuller. Unlike most products I've tried, this product lasts so that my lashes look just as great at lunchtime as they did at 7am. I recommend this product to everyone I know.

This is my first try at using a natural mascara. I've used Clinique mascara my whole adult life, so this is the only comparison I have. The Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes does not go on as smooth or as thick as the Clinique I'm used to. But the Tarte mascara doesn't burn if it gets in my eyes. I didn't have any problems with flaking or raccoon eyes. I tried washing my makeup off with water, but you need a little bit of a cleanser to completely remove it. Personally I used coconut oil to wash my face, but any mild makeup remover will easily do the trick. I've only used it for 2 weeks but I'm planning on continuing to use it and I already thew all my Clinique away. The other natural mascara I like is Physicians Formula Organic Wear, but the Tarte mascara is my favorite.

First of all, I bought this mascara through Amazon and when I received it, it appeared to have been opened. Which I do not like, and frankly kind of skeeves me out.The mascara itself was fine, not a whole lot better than drugstore plumping mascara, I found it to clump a lot and flake throughout the day. Now I just spend the extra 5-10 bucks for the good stuff which doesnt flake. 3 stars because it did make them appear bigger
