The Ignitor tread pattern was designed for the most discerning professional racers and already has laid claim to multiple World Cup victories. The well-spaced tread pattern fills in nicely to provide low rolling resistance in the straights, while the ramped pentagonal knobs provide excellent traction in the corners and in medium soil.

These tires are great just the way they are.
hey guys, if you think these tires are heavy then don’t buy them in UST. I don’t race that much anymore and I love the UST stuff because it is boom proof. UST have more rubber on the sidewalks and will last you longer. When I am not racing and spending this much on tires I just want them to last and not have any problems. That’s why I buy UST. I did the entire Colorado trail a few years ago and didn’t have one problem with my tires with all the added weight(bags) on my bike. These tires are great just the way they are. I will take the added weight for the added advantages they offer.

Maxxis makes a nice tire that wants to get dirty
Maxxis ignitor is a tire trying to ride the edge of a cross country tire and a all mountain. In very try hard dirt and dry dirt they can slide on you a bit however they roll well and come in at a decent weight.

Very good tire. Tuff. Reliable. Good grip on dirt and gravel.
I've had this tire on my trail bike before. Good grip and long life. Replaced them after I wore the tread down.

Love this tire
Wow this tire has grip it was easy to put on my rim (for me with strong thumbs) don’t use tools to get it on the rim I used soapy water and just use my palms and thumbs to pop it on to the rim. I’m gonna love this tire gonna get one for the front. Pop some color on your ride!

awesome FRONT tire
grippy, aggressive, easy to seal tubeless with Stans...such a good side bite I feel like I can practically touch my bar ends to the ground in turns, cuts through mud well & handles dry pack nicely. BUT it's heavy, and it's got a lot of rolling resistance...if you put this on the rear you're going to feel like you're towing a boat anchor. I run this up front with a Crossmark on the rear & it seems to be a good combo.

Really nice tires BUT
HEAVY!!! When I mean heavy I mean really heavy. NOT a good tire for competition especially if you're planing to ride up steep hills. Other than that the are really sturdy and have a nice grip on flat gravelly surface.

Great tire
Fast tire with excellent traction on dirt. Climbs well on loose rocks and controllable on mud and sand. I needed a good all purpose tire for fun rides and weekend races this exceeded my expectations. I mounted this on a non UST rim (ghetto tubless) and Had no problem getting it to seal.

Great year round tire with good traction and almost no flats
I swear by these tires as they have great all around grip (wet, rooty, rocky, loose, packed) and also just about never get flats. I do run with a tube as well, but I can go all season riding weekly and maybe I'll get one flat. I have a Santa Cruz Nomad all mountain and I replace these about once a year.

Maxxis, Ignitor, Copertone, Unisex, Nero, Lust+Mc, 26 x 210
