GIRL. The reviews are TRUE.
Sometimes I see a product and think “this is too good to be true” with the reviews. I have a few plants and occasionally may have fruit in a basket but in a small poorly ventilated apartment, who would have thought I’d have so many fruit flies.I put each of these near my plants and on primarily my window sills. The window that has the most plants near it and gets the most sun? DOZONS of dead fruit flies and gnats around it. And GOOD. I love when the hype is real. They work so well and all you have to do is just place them strategically. Highly recommend!

Effective Fly Trap!
Excellent product! I had a small fly problem due to my refrigerator dying and within 24 hours, all the flies were nowhere to be seen. It is a clean product, just make sure you do not place in high traffic areas where it would likely be knocked over. The durability is awesome. Thanks!

Waste of money
Absolutely useless. The little tubs that hold the liquid are made of the thinnest of plastic, and every single tub was warped, causing it to sit lopsided in the hard case. I spilled some liquid on my hands, and honestly, it just smells like pure vinegar. I mean, maybe there’s some sort of pheromone or chemical in there but it’s not effective. Every summer, the flies are so bad in my area. I’ve had these tubs sitting on my windowsills for three days now. I placed them there because that’s where a lot of the flies gravitate to, but it hasn’t caught a single one. Save your money, and invest in a good flyswatter. I suggest a metal one. Oh, and stay away from those little zapping paddles because I tried that too. All it did was knock the fly out for literally five seconds. Hardly enough time to finish the job before they regain their senses and fly away.

works very good
I can't say that they eliminate flying insects for 4 weeks - but they do work for longer than the usual sprays. I'd say they work very good for a few days (which is better than most) and then good at reducing the number of flying insects for up to a week. After that, there is still a reduction in the usual amount - at least this year. Weather plays a huge role in the number of bugs, however. In the product's defense it does say 'up to 4 weeks'. I did notice a reduction in flies and mosquitoes (not eliminate, but it did reduce the usual number) - but it had a hard time with those nighttime gnats (I'm not sure what they are called, but they look like gnats and fly around lights at nights). Also in the product's defense, I do live in an area that is a haven for bugs (wet woodland), so even a little help is so appreciated. All that said, I bought 3 cans and will continue to purchase this product. I also like that the chemical smell does not linger as long as other products and it has a pleasant scent (still smells like bug spray, but with a nicer scent).

WORKS WELL ON FIRE ANTS TOO.
I have some of the most amazing fire ants around my house. My garage may have a dead cricket 20 feet from the grass and somehow they know he's in there. I'll notice a trail from outside into the garage where they pile up on the carcass. I'll grab a can of RAID and mist them from the cricket, out the garage door, across the drive, to the grass. It kills them instantly. Now you can understand why I buy 6 cans at a time.

Stylish but Just Not as Effective as the Classics
I really wanted to love these Hot Shot Flying Insect Traps. They have a sleek, discreet design that looks way better than the old-school red apple traps—seriously, they’re practically décor! But unfortunately, looks aren’t everything. For whatever reason, they just don’t seem to catch as many flies or gnats as the classic traps did. I’ve tried placing them in a few different spots, but the results are consistently underwhelming.I’m giving them points for style and low-profile design, but I do wish they worked as well as they looked. Here’s hoping for a version 2.0 that brings the function to match the form.

Effectively Traps
I’m not entirely sure if this product is the reason but after I put all six I received in the pack out, the flies were absolutely gone within a week. I’m guessing that this easy to use product was the trick I needed. It’s durable, effective, hasn’t harmed my pets, and doesn’t have any weird odors emanating from it. For the price, I would surely purchase again!
