Fluke Networks CIQ-100 Copper Qualification Tester, Qualifies and Troubleshoots Category 5-6A Cabling for 10/100/Gig Ethernet, Coax and Voip

CableIQ doesn't have the proper PoE(passive/802.3af/at) detection in despite of Fluke marketing's statement that the unit does support it. According to Fluke's TAC, this unit was designed and released when PoE was still at its infancy. Therefore, if the tester is plugged in to an Ethernet jack with PoE enabled, the CableIQ will produce an audible alarm with an on-screen message to unplug the cable immediately or else the unit will be damaged permanently if it is plugged in for 2 - 5 minutes.Other than the PoE fiasco, CableIQ performs well to qualify cat5e/cat6 cables to ensure the rated speeds(1gigabit, 100mbps, 10mbps) can be achieved and will measure for crosstalk and impedance in the cat5e/cat6 cabling.

Did not boot up, just froze. I contacted Fluke through Amazon & they told me this unit is 2016, 4 years old & past warranty. They had me ship it to them to look at & thankfully they sent me it back no cost to me saying it is a new one but I can tell it's the same one but refurbished. Don't know if I have a warranty anymore & fear if anything happens to this device if I will be able to get it fixed. Had to go without for months while this all went down. Had to pay $ to ship it to Fluke for repairs. Not sure how to comment, good for fixing it with just cost of shipping or having to go through this whole ordeal. I guess it's my fault & mistake for purchasing from amazon. You just do not know what you'll get. New, refurbished, 4 year old model passed warranty,,,,,,,?????

It's a Fluke meter, not much more to say. This is an essential tester for network technicians. Excellent for toning and identifying wire runs, Qualifying and confirming capabilities (10, 100, 1000, etc.) of wire runs and for troubleshooting crossed & poorly terminated wires. The CIQ-KIT comes with everything you need to Qualify up to 8 runs at a time with the included remote ID's, Locate cables with the IntelliTone Toner and several other network tests. However, it does not come in the bag pictured but instead comes in a nice protected carry case.

You can't go wrong when it comes to Fluke instruments. This one in particular helps me troubleshoot wiring problems in seconds. The battery lifetime is amazingly long (as opposed to its counterpart the Fluke Network Analyzer), and mine came on a Pelican-style case, not the one shown here. The product is sturdy, well designed and the accessory cables are good quality. Very satisfied - once more - with this product. Worth the investment.

Packaging and all were great and I Like the carry bag however I've encountered an issue with the remote ID's. Remote ID 2 keeps reporting as Remote ID 7 so I'll be contacting Amazon to serif I can get a replacement Remote ID

This works great for measuring our data lines. We have around 30 computers running all the time off of our servers so it's nice to know how the lines are performing when someone says it's slow and you can see the transmission rate at over a gig!

Easy to use, gives lots of good information. Had it tell me a cable was good that didn't perform in practice but it still fills my needs for the runs I needed.

I have had this device for less than a week and it has already saved me about 2 hours of troubleshooting time (that I would have spent if I didn't have this device). It will take a bit of time to recoup the price tag on this guy, but the customer satisfaction I see from my clients is wonderful. They are impressed with how quickly I clear issues. And they are impressed with the equipment they see me carrying. I'm happy.

Très bon testeur pour le proffessionnel en réseautique. Facile à utiliser. Rien a dire sur les produits Fluke. Mais les logiciels... ils sont fais dans le style Windows 95. Pour une compagnie de cette grosseur ça fait super bizarre!!!Livré rapidement en parfait état.

Es un equipo que ayuda mucho para identificar problemas de cableado, así como calificar la velocidad del mismo, realmente en un pequeño certificador, además de la funciones adicionales para ubicar el puerto del switch, continuidad y audio ayudan muchísimo para otro tipo de tableados como de señalización (alarmas) y audio. Muy recomendable

Lo compre por que es uno de los mejores equipos del mercado.Excelente para los escaneos de red y coxial, ayuda a encontrar fallas muy rapido.Lo recomiendo mucho.

Para cualquiera que se dice profesional del cableado estructurado, este tipo de herramienta es indispensable. Fluke tiene la mejor calidad.
